I do like some jazz & classical... but again, it's gotta have some semblance of a TUNE. I can tell you that, IMO, a large percent of what I hear on air these days is unoriginal, unintelligible, poorly produced copycat junk. I can't tell one singer from the next any more... not like the "old days" when artists had unique sounds... we could identify them by the first note... Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Vaughn, Damone, and so on... hundreds of TRUE artists. Today, I suspect there are many greats but they're like needles buried in a haystack of mediocre wannabees.

Their voices in harmony with beautifully arranged music are perfect, and this would be my favorite version of the song with one exception- Kris Kristopherson and Lorrie Morgan's version was recorded with the feeling, emotion, and raw passion that inspired Kris to write it. This version will make you smile, but the KK/Lorrie Morgan version might make you cry.

I would call myself a "fan" of Buble because I really enjoy his voice AND his stage personality. He's a star entertainer in my books.
I am thrilled by Loren's voice but other than that I know nothing about her. So, I'm a fan of her vocal ability only at this point.

I have a preference for any music that I can understand the words being sung and hum the tune. I don't much care for labels. I do like some jazz & classical... but again, it's gotta have some semblance of a TUNE.
I can tell you that, IMO, a large percent of what I hear on air these days is unoriginal, unintelligible, poorly produced copycat junk. I can't tell one singer from the next any more... not like the "old days" when artists had unique sounds... we could identify them by the first note... Sinatra, Fitzgerald, Vaughn, Damone, and so on... hundreds of TRUE artists.
Today, I suspect there are many greats but they're like needles buried in a haystack of mediocre wannabees.

When I hear that trumpet duet I always remember old Brazilians country songs.
This is among the best ever recorded. Their voices in harmony with beautifully arranged music are perfect, and this would be my favorite version of the song with one exception- Kris Kristopherson and Lorrie Morgan's version was recorded with the feeling, emotion, and raw passion that inspired Kris to write it.
This version will make you smile, but the KK/Lorrie Morgan version might make you cry.
