  • RECIPES
    1kg of corn flour (8+1/3 cups)
    170g of sugar(1/2 +1/4 +2tbs)
    2 medium sized onions
    1 medium sized garlic
    ½ tbs of salt
    1tbs of milk or 1/2 cup of coconut milk
    1tsp of chilli pepper(optional)
    ¼ tsp of nutmeg(optional)
    little/5g of ginger
    For the water quantity: Just follow the video and add as required and reasonably

      Please in my area they mix casava flour with maize flour before selling it,so can we use that one or the that is not mix please

      You can use any of them, plain or mixed. The taste can be different though.

      @@FavourEdino I used corn flour, not corn starch. Just mill your dried corn till very smooth, then use it. Thanks for the question.

      I have not tried it but it should work perfectly saving time and reducing stress. Just make sure you get your corn flour dough in the right consistency. Best of luck will anticipate your feedback

    Thanks for sharing. But when I tried only corn flour made this way it becomes mashy before finish rolling. What cause it?

      @@fatimahrafiu102 probably your dough wasn't hard enough. Next time, mould your dough in batches, and make sure it is not too soft. It absorbs moisture if it stays too long before rolling into sticks

      Would have loved to see it, but despite frying on low heat, if you allowed it to become dark before scooping it out,
      It will become darker after cooling.

      Oh I see I allowed it get dark before scooping out. I noticed that the ones I didn't allow get dark before scooping where not crunchy they were soft. That's why I had to make sure they were brown. Is there anything I can do?

    Do you need to sieve the corn flour after milling before using it?

      No need for that, provided it is well milled especially with industrial miller, but if you use a blender, you can sieve and mill at interval but if your blender is powerful no need.

      3 months, do not expose to air or sunlight. Make sure it is tightly packaged keep away from water or any moisture, ants and rodents.
