My 4 year old little girl is tucked in bed and asleep, she’d be so mad if she knew I was watching a new foresty forest without her! I’ll act excited and show her and watch it again tomorrow!! 😂
I just woke up, and caught myself singing "Foresty Forest, he lives in a van" and look at my phone, Boom! A new Foresty Forest video! How cool is that!!!💜🤘
I just can't get enough of your videos. I've subscribed to you since the beginning and you haven't fallen victim to the algorithm. Your videos are so genuine but still original. Viewers get to see you grow as a UA-camr as your cinematography keeps getting better and better with each new post.
Imagine if he actually got promoted instead of the useless crap with millions of daily views. If you ever want to see how bad it's gotten, sign out and delete your browsing data to see what is recommended.
Still by far the best channel on UA-cam. After years of watching you and at first holding my breath when you climbed difficult mountains or now skiing on your own down these mountains I've repeated to myself "He filmed it and it is on You tube so he is okay!" :-) Still takes my breath away but so worth it! Love your build it is perfect and cozy and every thing is within reach and Chef Foresty Forest adds another great dimension to your channel as does Rocko! Have a blessed and safe New Year!
@JohnnyDanger36963 , don't underestimate a Canadian with years of back country experience,im sure he has something to take a bear down, he just doesn't show it on camera.
You sir are a dedicated and patient outdoorsman to climb all that way for a run down the mountain. As always, I am so thankful for the opportunity to see the places you go and experience the beauty of BC.
It comes and goes. I have been meaning to ask him. The Foresty Forest lives in a van jingle is top notch. I like it.I wonder who he had singing with him on the track?
Happy 3rd birthday Rocko!! You've had so many adventures in just 3 years!! Love seeing what you guys get up to, always makes my week. Happy holidays and stay safe ❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have not commented for several months, but I watch every episode with interest with a thumbs up. Your accompanying music with the video draws me into the story. Simply stated, each episode is different and very entertaining. Thank you for the overview in this episode of what does and does not work and the reasons behind your approval or disapproval of each piece of equipment. I am thankful that you are honest and candid about your adventures and equipment. Please have a happy and safe New Year.
Hi, Simon….just wanted to wish you and Rocko a new year filled with much joy and prosperity! WOW, I can’t believe you have had Rocko for 3 yrs.! I was thinking she was about a year and a half!
Just imagine going skiing, and every time the only tracks are your tracks. Rocko is living the best life possible! You're a Canadian treasure Foresty Forest!
She really is living the dog's life. Her muscle tone doesn't get any better in that breed. Most Jack Russell have a tummy bulge from laying around and eating treats. Rocko is built like a sporting dog.
Ive been watching you from day 1. It's amazing how much you and your channel have developed over the years. Always a huge delight to wakeup to a new Foresty Forest video.
Gosh, I can't believe Rocko is 3! She just came into your life, like last week! Time flies when you're a cutie pie pupper! You sure gave me a scare though. I wrecked both of my knees cross-country skiing up in Gold Creek Basin across the highway from Snoqualmie in Washington. I was a short 100 pound gal and a guy about 3 times my size ran over me. Literally. I was in my early 30s, I am70 years old now and have had to have both my knees replaced. It's not easy getting older and I will have trouble the rest of my life.
You're cutting some nice curves there bro! I could feel the powder passing below as you cruised down the mountain. What an amazing life you lead. Thanks for sharing!
Foresty, when you lost your balance near the top of that steep mountain...I was holding my breath brother...wow! Great video...have fun & please be safe man! 🙏❤
Unfortunately, GM was phasing out the Express. They were going to replace it with only an electric model. Then Ford found itself drowning in unsold Lightening pickups, everybody started questioning the government propaganda, and we shall see what happens. I have a 2011 Volt and an Express 1500. Each is ideal for my needs. The idea of a Volt type drive train in the steel tent seems like a sensible approach. The ability to run climate off the drive battery spoils one. So would the well of reserve house power. Add rear electric drive, and I would have to consider updating.
It does not feel like it been 4 years since you've had the van. I feel like it was just yesterday you were using the crockpot in the minivan. Thank you for the amazing content all these years!
I haven't been here from the beginning but I've been here for a few years now and, man, Foresty--you are an absolute legend my man. I am so inspired by you and am currently building my van out for some adventures. Happy New Year, everyone!
After "discovering" your videos, I went back a year and watched all your videos until I had viewed all those, then went pack another year and repeated. Today I watched your video about moving into your minivan and will view those two years going forward. I like how you keep things real, even when that results in you in bailing on a climb or hike. Your construction and cooking aspects are informational and made in such a way that a viewer believes that they can accomplish the same tasks. Your production quality has always been top notch, yet you keep on improving them. Because of how YT scrambles your video play list, it would be appreciated if you started adding a sequence number to your videos. Lastly, Santa left you some Stihl equipment at my place in Oregon. Stop by and pick it up the next time you're down this way.
After 35 years in the plumbing trade I've owned every van out there. The Chevy GMC Express platform is hands down the best. After buying Ford E350's, Transits, Sprinters, Ram Pro Masters and Nissan NV's I finally rotated all the others out of my fleet and exclusively only have Chevy 3500's now. They literally run forever with just regular maintenance. All the other brands I listed have had blown engines and transmissions and terrible front end problems when it came time to trade them in but every Chevy is still running fine when I sell them. I just retire them when they start rusting out and looking ratty. Your van is a little more complicated with the 4WD system but I just have standard rear wheel drive on mine. You will love the 3500. That's all I buy and they handle cast iron steam boilers and all the pipe fitting equipment we have with no issues.
Glad to see you're ok after the scare. Best wishes for the next van, exciting times!! It's always nice to be able to plan a build instead of rushing it out of necessity! Happy travels to you mate!!
Hope you had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Nice to see and appreciate how absolutely beautiful the area is there. It’s great how much you appreciate the snow, mountains and skiing.
Foresty Forest - this is some really next-level stuff on so many levels. The adventures are amazing. But the fact that you’re based out of a van that is so dialed in just really puts the cherry on top. What’s more, you’re able to share your experience and make so many people happy and inspired. Bravo.
I can't believe I've been watching you for 4 years! I started watching your channel with this van build and haven't missed a video since. Love the footage, the outdoor adventures, and the climbs. Thank you for all you do Foresty.
I was just musing how you've truly mastered your craft as a video storyteller. The videography, editing, audio (mixing ambient sounds and music) and your narration are all just top notch!! Your stories are a real pleasure to watch Foresty.
I have watched so much youtube. but for years now you have been that one channel im like genuinly exited for everytime you post something!! Youre doing amazing
The view of you skiing down the mountain from above was really cool. I wish I had learned to do that but I just couldn't get the hang of it. Best wishes to you and Rocko for the New Year.
Great van review! The 3500 will have much stiffer suspension than the 2500. Perhaps try lightening your build? Dump all the plywood and use solid pine. Plywood is really heavy.
I'd be hesitant to go to solid pine. With as much as the humidity and temperature changes in his van regularly, pine is going to warp way more than plywood.
I so appreciate your appetite for adventure. The one time I tried to learn how to ski, I broke my shoulder and jaw, so your videos satisfy me just fine! I can smell the fresh snow. Thanks for bringing us along, and love to Rocko!.
Great start to the New Year. I just lay back and pretended it was me swishing down that mountain. I could feel the wind and smell that fresh, cold air. Thanks
Maybe next van, strip it of the factory inside plastic panels and I highly would recommend the Canadian made rockwool. It a great insulator and good for sound deadening. Check the specs. I use the grizzly cubic mini. I have two of them. Very happy. I use Victron and very happy and check to send to a friend’s place etc. They have a newer smaller more powerful unit and who knows if you could run two of them … maybe have two under hood motor batteries and a charger for each and special alternator (but common).
As someone who learned everything online for my career, I'm super impressed of all the skills you've learned building and maintaining your own van. The amount of knowledge you gathered and able to apply it is insane. All the best to you. Absolutely incredible.
I also love backcountry skiing and I'm thinking about building a van... youtube started showing me your vids maybe a month or two ago and they've been inspirational, you're doing exactly what I want to be doing in a year or two :) Keep em coming and best of luck in your fifth year in the van
Brother Simon! Great to hear your theme song again. It’s special these days to get a video featuring your anthem. Some great looking snow and fine turns too! Tremendous. The high pro powder glo. Nothing better. I hope you have unburdened yourself of those slow shoes. And, lastly, I got a chuckle out of “Cody Townhouse”. You should reach out to him for a collaboration some day.
Happy third birthday Rocco and wow... four years in the full size van already, it's served you well. Seems like yesterday you were adventuring in the minivan. Beautiful snow scenes! Especially liked the downhill skiing drone shot of you. 🙂

That's soooo Awesome 🫠❤
I just woke up, and caught myself singing "Foresty Forest, he lives in a van" and look at my phone, Boom! A new Foresty Forest video! How cool is that!!!💜🤘
Very cool🤗

Love your drone footage of you skiing down the mountain! Great job! 👍
Fresh power, no other skiers, it was really nice to see almost like you were there..
Foresty forest he lives in our hearts!
He lives!! Sometimes i feel like I just exist

Love the drone footage while you are skiing. You make it look effortless! Thanks for sharing!

It’s really hard to find in other van life and camper channels the level of authenticity and ingenuity Forresty Forrest offers with every video.
@@eNesFRK Agree completely...Foresty & Rocko are real rare gems. I really treasure them both.🕊❄
Because he's the only one without a hot chick barely clothed in the thumbnails.
I agree, best vanlife channel without a doubt! Not flashing, not acting douche or spoiled and never really complained. 100% genuine
The snow covered trees! So majestic and beautiful…
