    I think Boston was giving Lucic the opportunity to retire as a Bruin. He hasn't contributed anything anywhere for five years.

    The bruins brass are cowards the way they treated Lucic. The bruins used to develop hard nosed players, now they go looking to other clubs, they are definitely not the big bad bruins of the past. I've been a fan since 1977 they have always been a tough team up until the last decade. This team is drastically different than the 70s Cherry teams...They are soft pushovers and it pains me to say that.

    Actually Lucic's season came to an end because of a broken leg. He never returned from LTIR. His court case, and entering the players assistance program certainly didn't help. But players have entered the assistance program and not been on LTIR so that doesn't seem to be what saved Boston his cap hit. Him not recovering from his injury seemed to be what did that.
    And the Bruins already replaced Forbort when they traded for Peeke it was literally the entire reason they did that trade. Makes no sense to me to bring Edmundson in. What does he bring you that Wotherspoon doesn't? A higher cap hit? Wotherspoon had an excellent year. He can play either side. He doesn't cost a ton, and had limited enough NHL experience that I'd expect him to improve despite him not being a young prospect.

      A problem is that the NHL has zero transparency while simultaneously pretending to care. The Ian Cole allegations that were swept away, as well as Valeri Nichushkin’s arrest with a wasted prostitute. It’s very typical for them to acknowledge things when the shit hits the fan, then pretend to care very much and promptly forget that it exists.

    • @exturkconner
      @exturkconner 2 місяці тому

      @@daynasafranek7807 I don't really see what you are getting at. I mean for 1 the league doesn't get involved in those situations and they frankly don't have too. Teams have morality clauses in contracts. When these things get made public the teams can move off those contracts. The NHLPA can fight it. Wrongful termination especially if the court cases find the player innocent of accusations or have charges dismissed. But yeah the teams do have options.

      That is not true at all. The Bruins released a statement during the season. And now the off season has rolled around they have not only said he will not return but his wife is divorcing him. The fact you all support and act like he isnt a complete goon on and off the ice is mind blowing. But I guess that is what fandom does. Blinds you unacceptable things. I dont care that he beat his wife, mah hokey tem

      @exturkconner 2 місяці тому

      @@heathclark318 The statement the team made was that he wouldn't play again this year. That was true. But as I stated he had a broken leg. He was on LTIR and he never came back. You don't get cap relief for a player going into the assistance program. So that had nothing to do with it. And you don't get cap relief for not playing a player who's able to play. So that wasn't it either. The fact he never returned and we continued to have him on LTIR means he never successfully rehabbed the leg injury.
      I made no statements about his court hearing or how the chargers were dismissed. I don't need too that's all a matter of public record.

    I hated watching Pastrnak fight or Marchand getting punched in the face by Bennet. We have no one to take care of business. Maroon is not the amswer. We need size and we need at least 2 guys that can throw hands. Jake Middleton from the Wild would be a good fit.

      before you bash Looch look at what he's gone through since leaving Boston. The teams he was traded to never follewed up on what they promised him...that combined with the death of his Dad were enough to set him in a tail spin. Everyone has bad times in their lives. He just happened to be in the public eye because of an over zealous Boston Police officer. Ya he was wrong but there was no need to be dragged through the mud.
