      I am medically challenged and because I'm magically challenge spelling is hard for me it gets worse can I get the emotional which the video did so I decided to use the microphone because I thought that would be easier but they're like we're spending a charger for me speaking clearly it's harder for me especially when I get emotional which I was. Anyway what I was more or less trying to say is this player is obviously very upset about this little girl who got hit (as is a great deal many others obviously) and he seem to be blaming himself . So I just what Jim to get what he want which is to see this little girl and talk to her so he knows she is okay . I believe that he really needs this and I also think it would be very good for the little girl so I hope he gets what he wants for both of their shakes because what I think it will help them. Hope you understand that Federal I'm sorry about any misspelling or bad grandma like I said medically challenged and again emotional.

      minute maid park does have netting down 3rd and 1st base lines, the girl happened to be sitting mere feet from the termination of the netting. I'm guessing you might be talking about from home plate to the foul poles on both sides, and while I understand safety is important, a great deal of fans prefer to not be behind netting for various reasons. Minute Maid park has compromised by having extended netting already, giving fans who don't want the netting options to purchase seats in those areas, while also offering plenty of seats in the protected areas for fans and families that would like to be behind netting. Obviously it's not the family's fault what happened, but they should've purchased seats 1 section over. You can see online before you buy your ticket if you will be behind protective netting.

    I am so glad that MLB has at least started to take action to try to prevent things like this from happening. Almore seems like a real standup type guy who showed life is bigger than baseball. I almost bet that he still has a relationship with that girl's family. I don't care how much of a man someone tries to be trying to hide emotions, in a case like this you just can't hide them if you are a real PERSON! I know this was back in 2019, but i pray that this girl heeled from the injury.

    Horrible . Hopefully the little girl will be okay. I feel for the batter . Worst possible situation.
    Commentors ,What's your thoughts on this:
    Perhaps children under a certain age shouldn't be seated in areas of the stadium that are in danger of line drive foul balls .

    • @hybridwolf66
      @hybridwolf66 5 років тому

      No. You cant 'assign' seating. The ballparks, however, CAN install netting around the WHOLE park.

      I don't think that's the answer. Of someone else is sitting where that little angel was sitting they would have been hit. Its sad a little girl was hit. I think extending the nets os a better solution.

      Planet Bolshevik So you disagree with nets?

    • @zachperez8937
      @zachperez8937 5 років тому +4

      I dont disagree with nets, but nets all over the mlb have been fairly extended in recent years and that includes the Astros stadium. If you look closely, the family was sitting barely beyond the nets extension. The nets already go out pretty far there. To be honest, I know the family is not responsible for the situation, but you should be very careful and conscious of where you buy your tickets especially if you are bringing a 4 year old to the game. If you look online, you can see whether or not the seats you purchase are behind the netting. I'm not saying this isn't a horrible unfortunate circumstance, but at some point people need to be responsible for the safety of their own family.

    Pay attention when you are in those exposed seats. The parents were negligent.

    • @justinkoeberl5797
      @justinkoeberl5797 5 років тому +11

      Children of that age should not be allowed on those seats. Best intentions cannot prevent something like this or worse fr happening. No children under a certain she should ever be seated in certain areas. There are still PLENTY of great seats protected by netting or far enough away from like drive foul balls.
