    Hey!! if you want to do a PNF technique you should use a diagonal pattern. For you to be successful with PNF techniques you should have a rotational component

    • @Physiotrendz2990
      @Physiotrendz2990  11 місяців тому

      Yes, but there are various places we use PNF, it’s not only diagonal patterns.

      So basically met technique is a combination of hold relax + agonist contractions?

    Hold relax different from contract relax ! The former it involves isometric contraction the later involves isotonic contractoion against resistance !! It should be clear

  • @kamalianakamal
    @kamalianakamal Рік тому +1

    Sorry i feel a bit confuse..if we need to stretching hamstring..why we need to isometric against your hand power and he pushed down..that will be strengthening the hamstring right? Stretching is to lengthening ms..but if ask isometric it will activate ms and strength right?

    • @Physiotrendz2990
      @Physiotrendz2990  Рік тому +1

      That is because of concepts of autogenic and reciprocal inhibition concepts that we learn in PNF . You should watch other videos on this series for better understanding.

      Also watch this video on MET to understand the concept.

      Ya you said that hold relax works on 2 principles that is absolutely fine but in autogenic inhibition for hamstrings which are hip extensors and knee flexors But you are giving resistance for hip flexion ... but in reality you have to give resistance for hip extension and patient should perceive isometric contraction of hip extensors for autogenic inhibition....

    I heard a muscle flexibility is that a correct term. Because muscle can do only contraction and relaxation nothing else other than these 2. Isn’t should be joint flexibility

    • @Physiotrendz2990
      @Physiotrendz2990  11 місяців тому

      No, flexibility is measured on the bases of ROM available and that is possible only with combined actions of joint capsule, ligaments around joints and muscles around that joint.

    what is difference between normal stretching and pnf stretching?

    • @Physiotrendz2990
      @Physiotrendz2990  Рік тому +2

      PNF stretching has 3 main types , which helps better way to lengthen muscles in compare to static stretching , you can watch following video to understand principle of PNF stretching
