Love the lake break down video. Idea ? Maybe break down the lake like you did in this video and then go out and film you fishing these areas like Blacks Bridge.
I don't fish but instead hunt out all the submerged stuff in Lake Murray and dive them. Both historical or put there by man. I'm going to work up to Buffalo Creek this winter. My fishermen friends gave me some leads on a sunken houseboat and smaller boats up that way. From your video I noticed a few submerged bridges on your nav map.
Thanks for these videos man! Awesome stuff. I'll be fishing the ABA Nationals down on Lake Murray from October 9th-11th. Do you ever catch them on a frog around that time of year too? Or mostly just in the Spring and focus more on the secondary points around then? Thanks again!
@@TurnerFishingg thank you! I'll definitely check some frogging areas out in practice and see if they're on it anywhere. If not, likely going to run a lot of docks, secondary points, and hard bottom areas.
@@TurnerFishingg just one more question for you man seeing how well you know Lake Murray. Would you recommend frogging and throwing topwaters up in Buffalo Creek in early to mid October? Or is it usually better to make the run all the way into Little River? I'll be launching out of Dreher Island State Park, so Buffalo Creek would be a much shorter run. This is quite honestly the biggest tournament of my life being AOY from my division up in NJ because I'll have like a 1 in 20 shot of winning a new boat. This will be my first time ever practicing and competing on Lake Murray. While I love to frog fish, I also love to catch them drop shotting, jerk baiting, cranking, and skipping a wacky rig on docks and laydowns, etc., so I don't want to force the frog bite either. Really appreciate all the insight!
@@GregDelR33 back of buffalo creek itself has a pretty good area to catch a gaint but its hit or miss if your going to get a bite. ive caught a few over 5 back there

Depending on how practice goes, I'm thinking I'm likely going to just stay out on the main lake more and try to get a limit first and then possibly explore way back up in the creek if I do to look for a kicker. I'll also try practicing up in the Saluda River. If I can get on a consistent frog/topwater bite in practice, though, I'll run with that and just look for 5 big bites a day.

Can you still access the very back of Buffalo creek now or is the water level too low? Gonna go pre-fish next week possibly. Just looking for some fish for a local tournament at end of the month.

If you like fishing up the rivers then the frog allways plays ball but you can't force it

@@TurnerFishingg Was out today and a charter boat came in with 25 stripers on herring but lake is so big I have no idea where they were!!
