Comox Valley Land Trust is currently raising funds to buy 715 acres of the Morrison Headwaters, to add to the 95 acres already preserved. This will protect the spring sources of Morrison Creek, the most productive creek on Eastern Vancouver Island. A great cause to support !

Perhaps the Grizzly Bears that now live on Vancouver Island have replaced the Cougar as the apex predator?

there are wolves on the Island now. plenty of them. not this close to town however. these cameras are only a couple kms from a residential area. watch Island of the Sea Wolves for incredible video of VI wolves.
