Hi i put forward the idea of using victorias mothballed north south pipe line as a pumped hydro facility, done a lot of investigating found the height difference between the goulburn river pump station and the highest lift point more than enough , its proximity to melbourne its high irradiance levels on the north facing slope ,infastructure has been paid for and costing a substantial amount to maintain . Spoke to a local enviromentalist he didnt understand how it would work he thought it was the fabled perpetual motion ,had a meeting with the local federal rep he failed to see how electricity could be exported from the site had to explain that electrons can travel in both directions .H Had a word to Melbourne water they were mildly interested but again didnt fully understand the proposal saying they didnt have sufficient funds . Am convinced this should be considered
