Now, the bands we love, like Maiden and Motorhead are becoming the new Old Fart Music! Oy Vey, somebody get me my Doans Back pills! Great show, Drew. John's one of my favorite thrash musicians- thank you for sharing it!
Can't believed I missed this! Man, I used to drive to the Escape Club in Salisbury MA because it seemed like NA was playing there every few months. Them and Napalm Death. Not together. And it was always Candy Striper Death Orgy opening. 😂 Down to earth dudes who always hung out in the crowd before showtime looking for smoke. Or maybe that was just Lilker! "The skinheads have razorblades in their boots!" Nope. Everyone got along. More or less.
Candy Striper Death Orgy were the cockroach's of New England! And I mean that with total respect. My bands played with them on "fest" type shows around mass and nh in the late 90's early 2000's a bunch of times
Amazing interview. John and Nuclear Assault are legends. Love that Flying V John showed/is holding. That guitar immediately makes me think of Nuclear Assault playing Critical Mass live at Hammersmith Odeon in 1989. Incredible.🤘
Nice to hear from John. Great thrash band. I used to listen to game over on my walkman on the way to school. They are one of the bands that inspired me to want to play. Salute 🤟
Growing up in the UK and being a huge fan of the band but having only been born in 77 I was too young to ever see NA live. So much love for the band still. Mutants for nukes 😜🤘🤘🤘
I’m glad he discussed the guitar on Game Over ( I feel for him having been in the studio myself ). Glad N.A. were around awhile to redeem himself with other great albums.
being a West coast kid (PNW) Nuclear Assault was and still are one of my favorites. I am more punk/hard core and they always spoke to me. Speaking of Combat shout out to The Accused
What a great in depth interview, John is so down to earth, I hope he writes an autobiography like Danny Lilker did a few years ago 🤘🤘
Great interview, Nuclear Assault's Game Over is a masterpiece of Thrash metal.
I also love survive
Game Over🤘Great album. Classic Ed Repka album cover. Survive and Handle With Care are great albums as well.
Loved this episode (and the last Parris interview). John Connolly gave a lot of insight to the history of Nuclear Assault. Good job!
Thank you

AWESOME interview I just wish I could've heard this live I have a good story on how I got introduced to Nuclear Assault
This is a rare golden gem having John on, he does not seem to do interviews at all.
Thank you, John was a great guest.

John please bring back the band and play in Boston. First time I saw Nuclear Assault was at the Channel.
John rocks! Saw NA many times at Lamour
