Isn’t horizon lock what normal photo/video drones do? Why would someone in FPV mode want horizon lock? Sounds like the opposite of what an actual FPV pilot would want.

The perfect channel for everything about the amazing DJI drones! From this review, I would say that rocksteady is the option to go with because I kinda feel that with the horizon steady option you lose this fpv effect that the drone was designed for. I think DJI OA2 is an fpv masterpiece.
Excellent comparison of the DJI FPV drone's internal camera and the new DJI Osmo Action 2 camera. I think the next logical step for DJI would be to incorporate the functionality of the Osmo Action 2 into the next iteration of the FPV drone.
I much prefer the look of the Action 2 wider field of view. And rocksteady 2.0 is quite a lot better. I don’t like the horizon steady because it defeats the point of the FPV look for me.

I still didn’t receive my action 2 camera however I contacted DJI support and they don’t recommend attaching any action cameras to their fpv drone + I saw the reviews on Amazon for the mount you recommended and some users mentioned that their drones faced jitters and the mount kept rattling so after 9 months did you face any issues similar to that? or it didn’t affect drone flights at all?

Hi guys, since on drone you install DJI Action 2 with no extensions it has just 32 GB of internal space (about 22.4 GB free space in fact after firmware and stuff) and it hugely limits the footage time. You can fly about ~12 min with DJI FPV drone. To me, the crucial info is: how long it lasts to fill out the space of DJI Action 2 (4k, 60FPS)?
Seeing the horizon lock work like that is pretty sweet. Makes me anxious to get my action 2 in and experiment with it too!! Awesome video Aldryn. Flytpath is awesome!! Keep up the good work!! Something I'm curious about with the Action 2 is external audio input. With my OA, I had the Cynova adapter and am using a few different shotgun mics, I also have a Saramonic lavalier mic that has a USB C connector, but was made specifically for the OA. Just wondering if any of my current audio equipment will work with the Action2.

That was cool! It now gives us the idea to mount to any of our DJI Drones to test. The only difference I could see was the colour difference in both cameras and the FOV.

Well you've convinced me to get the action 2 rather than hero 10 but as others have said, horizon lock on an fpv kinda removes the point of an fpv drone. Might as well buy a mini 2.
The stabilization is better but horizon steady looks extremely unnatural on the fpv footage. DJI should just get their act together and update the camera firmware of the drone. Then I might not need to mount a GoPro.
People is it just me...or is there little difference on the footage? Its clear that the FPV is more punched in it, but the colors, quality are not really all that far off.
Overall video quality is quite far from professional quality. Cheaper action cameras have slower APU's with limited memory. That's why you could not expect more than what you paid. As far as now, GoPro made it corrected with GPU's on windows PC's. That's it.
I still lmao when I see DeejeeAy FPV users mounting action cameras on the top of this frankenstein of wanna be freestyle/racing drone. Let's be real...the durability, flight dynamics & overall image of the main camera are rubbish. Probably the next generation will be better improved but the price tag, oohh sweet baby jesus, even now is overpriced for what it offers. With the same money, you can build an proper premium quad with accesories and still you gonna remain with some money to buy a pack of beer...or if you are lazy, you can buy 2 better BNF quads.

the internal stabilization in the camera is incredible I find I prefer it to the gopro 10 on boost mode.

To each their own. You still couldn't get the shots the DJI FPV can get in sports mode with a Mavic.
3:19 there is no 60 fps, because you have a 30 fps video, not 60. In order for us to see 60, it was necessary to render to 60
