    Description:
    Daal Masoor is a flavorful and nutritious lentil dish made with split red lentils, aromatic spices, and sautéed onions, garlic, and ginger. The lentils are cooked until tender and mushy, with a rich and slightly thick consistency. The dish is often served with steaming hot rice or roti (flatbread).
    Ingredients:
    1 cup split red lentils (masoor dal)
    4 cups water
    2 medium onions, chopped
    3 cloves garlic, minced
    1 inch ginger, grated
    1 teaspoon ground cumin
    1 teaspoon ground coriander
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
    1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
    Salt, to taste
    Fresh cilantro, for garnish
    Preparation:
    1. Rinse the lentils and soak them in water for 30 minutes.
    2. Drain and cook the lentils in 4 cups of water until tender.
    3. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions, garlic, and ginger until golden brown.
    4. Add the cumin, coriander, turmeric, and red chili powder. Cook for 1 minute.
    5. Add the cooked lentils and salt. Mix well.
    6. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve with rice or roti.
    Note: You can adjust the amount of spices and water to your liking, and also add other vegetables or meat to the dish for added flavor and nutrition.
