      That sound so selfish to me. I totally understand. Like, identifying your child's body. Noone wants to remember the lost in that state. But she kept hanging up on her child who was fearing for her life. I'm a mom of two (16 yo girl, 7 yo boy). If my child, God forbid, chose to call me in a moment of fear like that, I'd stay on the line so they wouldn't feel abandoned in that moment. As much as it would destroy me inside, I would not do that. Did she even tell her that she love her back? That she forgive her? That she was never a bad kid or there was nothing to forgive. If you believed that's your child's final moments, don't make it about you. Be there for them no matter what.
      That little girl is so strong.

      I'm a mom as well and as much As I know it would destroy me to hear my child begging for her life/ dying iver the phone it would destroy me even more knowing she NEEDED me and I hung up on her because I couldn't handle it. As a Parent part of our Job is to handle the hard things.. I would never hang up on my child, especially if she called me in a Situation like that.. I may tell her to stay quiet and not say a word, but I'd assure her I wouldn't hang up..

But the vegas guys were only in stomach not in bloodstream. But this does not disclude that the tradegy happened and/or that all those families and others across the nation are living in fear. They need God's comfort if only to deal with the fear. Just because you want God to comfort someone during trials and tribulations, doesn't make you dumb, it makes you empathetic and compassionate. I used to live in Parkland, FL and I was in elementary at the time. I had just gotten off the bus when this happened. The next day at my school barely anyone showed up because everyone was scared to go to school because of what happened. Rest In Peace to the victims of the schooling 💔

      Samee. I remember the day after it happened, I went to school late that day bcuz I was scared to go to school. When I got to school, my teacher said that I was lucky I came late because they did a code red drill.

      I agree that some questions were insensitive, but you're getting this one wrong. She asked the girl if when she played dead it was out of panic, like a first instinct, or if she could actually think and decide. There are people that actually manage to think things through in such moments, I think out of all the questions that was one of the fine ones.

    I don’t really understand the mother’s reaction to hang up… I understand people do weird stuff in traumatic situations but I just can’t wrap my head around that reaction? To hang up on your daughter while she is fearing for her life.

  • @immortalbeast
    @immortalbeast 3 роки тому +3570

    I get not wanting to hear your child die, but I still can't imagine hanging up on my child when they needed comfort the most. I probably would have told her to stop talking and just don't move. I would be afraid to talk only because the shooter might hear. But even in silence knowing your loved one is there can still be comforting. Very tragic situation.

      If my child had to go through something like that the LEAST I could do is try and comfort them through it , it’s an honour she got to even speak to her in that moment , I know we can’t judge until being in that situation but god I don’t think I could forgive my mum if she hung up on me in that situation

      I don't care what anyone says, that kind of cowardly act is almost unforgivable.. if the only thing I could do for my daughter in that moment was to tell her I was there and that I loved her, to close her eyes and be brave, to feel my arms, my love, my strength pouring into you, then I would do whatever was necessary to ease just a fraction of her fear, to just be there when she needed someone the most, because no matter how scared I was, how afraid I was that my daughter would be killed, nothing I was feeling would hold a candle to the fear my baby was in. Hanging up on her would never have crossed my mind, I know myself, and hanging up on her would NOT have been an option.

    She was right about the hold situation I was in the same class with her, she never talks that much always on her phone. When the fire alarm when off the teacher told the class go to the spot we always stand doing a fire drill when I got up from my seat put my backpack on while half the class was in the hallway I always put myself last of anything as soon I get ready to walk toward the door I heard a loud boom for a sec I think was a firework was lit in the school building but the boom kept going student in the hallway started screaming and running random student ran up in my class I knew something not right I, lay, on the ground with my hand cover over my head so nothing will hit my head the gunman came toward our classroom door all the student in our classroom was all in one corner the gunman opening fire on everyone who was in the corner the bullet hitting the wall all sort of stuff. The student in the classroom fall in knocking over desks has soon the shooter stopped shooting into our classroom in moved down the hallway one injury student in the hallway ran into the classroom I'm in closed the door ''the door already locked from the outside we didn't need a key to lock it. I got up from the ground trying to help the other student hold their gunshot wounds multiple kids were hit a couple kids move on the other side the classroom because it was lot blood on the other side the room I heard Aalayah crying and holding the gunshot wound of Nick who was shot in the throat in the shoulder I saw a girl on the floor she was shot in the head in the back 15-minute later the S.W.A.T came in our class told us to get on the ground the police went to check on two deceased students in a few minutes the police told us to leave the school building. It was a devastating moment for all of us that year all those parents lost their child was heartbroken. Now graduated this year in I can't never forget the moment I was in that year RIP to 17 innocent beautiful souls.
