So history lesson...here's what I think happened: Craig Reynolds misunderstood the kids. It's the "Baddie Corps" not "Baddie Core", thats the term for the fans, and genre-wise they've been calling it Cum Metal for awhile now.

Awesome to see Jakub Zytecki getting some love! Dude’s quietly doing his thing and proving himself as one of the best guitarists around time and time again.
It's an absolute crime that Rain from Sleep Token was snubbed. The Summoning was more popular, but Rain, imo, was way hornier and deserving of the placement than The Summoning.
But including Crosses and Thornhill was great honestly.

Basically a new wave of nu/alternative metal.
Huge year for metal imo. Honorable mentions: Poppy, Stoneside., Bad Omens and Northlane last year
Wonder who else you could put as a predecessor besides Deftones? Incubus for sure. Maybe Rob Zombie/MM, maybe Motionless?
Either way I'm excited for metal in 2024.

Everyone who is only coming (pun intended) from that subgenre and has yet to be accepted from the Metalscene as a whole, has yet to find out why it´s hard to listen to a new kind of sub-genre in a Musicscene we so hardly know and love. 1. I would argue Crosses are not metal, they’re like electronic/dark wave and maybe rock but not metal. Health too but i can see why you’d classify them as metal.

Hey yall im only 22 here - but this aint new LOL bands like Bad Omens and Sleep Token being big now has brought ppl into this heavier music scene when they weren't before if that makes sense, it has a label as c*m metal now but trust me its been around for like 14 years and i LOVE heavy raunchy sensual music- i grew up listening to that kind of music in diff genres a lot lmao like 30h3s vault music which is hella sexual but not metal- framing hanleys lollipop cover is a top play in my list but its punky i think? theres Angel Eyes by NewYearsDay ft MIW Chris- shit even MIW has sexy songs XD Ronnie Radke was out there too lmao theres a lot! anyway its been a thing it just wasnt too popular cuz heavy music was already having such a push back publicly once it took off and so many new sub-genres started breaking out in the metal/nu/punk scene and ppl weren't as addicted to their phones, social media was new, etc. i must say i am SO sad that In This Moment isnt recognized in this heavy c*m songs scene lmao so many ppl have made lists and i am offended that Adrenalize is on nothing I have seen on this topic yet, they are heavy and ooohhh bboooyyy- if you want a taste of something heavy with a tad bit traditional rock with modern twists PLEASE check it out plus it is a 10 year old song- there's also Black widow and sick like me and wh*re and blood- in this moment HAVE BEEN ON THIS HEAVY SEX SCENE for a long time lmao i listen to so many genres that idek what is what sometimes but if it has a rock/punk/metal touch its all in one big playlist so LOL and im so hype for this new wave of this trending in this scene i cant wait for more music! love the video btw
