I wasn't here for this stream, but I wanted to thank Axe_Lobo_Galen sOMEwhere for the gifted sub that they gave me! I actually hadn't been on twitch since the thirsty suitors stream, so hearing my username in this vod caught me a lil off guard. Hope they're havin' a good day :^)
Why is grampa dragon Zhongli (Genshin) the voice from above? 😅 50:22 broke me. Keith Silverstein must've had so much fun with this role. Edit: Is it me, or does Wario sound like Barry now? 😂
I seemed to have had a lot more hot takes on Wario than I realized, judging by Barry's reactions to some of them. Maybe it's as a result of growing up with Wario Land then moving to WarioWare because I loved Wario compared to Barry only playing the first Wario Land game and being more invested in WarioWare due to playing more of it in comparison, but nonetheless, while I do love WarioWare very much, I still strongly believe that an aspect of Wario was lost with the focus on WarioWare and the lack of Wario Land. Barry says he likes this depiction of Wario as a bumbling oaf, and yeah, Wario is kind of a dummy who's the butt of a lot of jokes... but he's also kind of a badass, too. Like, he's got massive biceps and is frequently shown using his signature shoulder bash for a reason. Games like Wario Land, and even Wario World, emphasize this aspect of him without losing track of the fact that we're playing as a fat weirdo who frequently picks his nose and scratches his butt. It's that balance of these two sides of him that I really like about his character, and the focus on WarioWare means an emphasis on one over the other. At the very least, we do get some of that during "Stone-Cold Welcome", where if you lose all 4 lives and succeed in the Last Chance Stance, Wario gets captured and thrown in a wooden cage, but then easily breaks out of the cage upon continuing where you lost. Admittedly I'm thinking too much about this, but I honestly can't help it; Wario is my favorite video game character of all time and there's a lot I really like about him, and a lot I wish Nintendo would revisit more often. As much as I love Pizza Tower, much like with Bug Fables, I'd still like a new installment of the thing the games are based on... And hey, we're getting a remake of The Thousand-Year Door, so maybe there's still hope for Wario Land! Also, this game really loves their HAMS.
I grew up with Wario World on the Gamecube, and yeah Wario's lost something in decades past. Sure, WarioWare ticks the 'mean, greedy fatass' boxes, but I want him to say HAVE A ROTTEN DAY and just deck a guy again, yknow?
Thank you for posting your streams here. Been having some tough times lately and your content has been keeping the vibes up. :) Best wishes.
Thanks for watchin em. Hope times are less tough soon.
1:56:48 Something about how Barry went dead silent while dancing just sends me. My boy was FOCUSED.

That was Keith Silverstein? No wonder I kept feeling like the narrator was going to ask if I'd ever been to the Cloud District!
The narrator instructions gives me Bobobo and yokai watch vibes😂
Warioware, more like Loreoware
