What a picturesque little getaway! Having to go for a boot hunt was hilarious.🤣 Thank you for including out-takes. It is important to have fun. 😀

Always have fun! It was quite funny, when I first noticed them gone I was terrified thinking I was stalked and robbed deep in the bush in the night. After a few mins I realised it was. A possum and was relieved. The outtakes are my favourite part.
      Glad you like thrm

Oh you made it all the way out here!
00:35: fun fact, I think the touch-wood tree here is _Atherosperma moschatum_ (blackheart sassafras, no relation to other sassafras). These seem to be relatively new-growth (less than 100-years old).
    01:13: hello Mount Roland
01:50: unfortunately, though I haven't checked the location yet, forestry puts roads all over the place in order to cut rainforest (and how the hillside looks quite shrubby compared to others nearby). This is an economic loss-making activity (in the work and the actual forest). Sometimes, after they log a coupe (or before) they sell it to a private owner, such as for accommodation purposes. But logging in and around vital places to undermine apiculture, tourism, woodworking, specialist timbers, and other industries that employ more.
03:21: these may be dogwood, which could be where the cabin gets its name from.

Hi Betula, oh wow, you have the inside scoop here. I'm unsure of the recent history of the site but I agree that from the drone footage it does appear at some stage to have been deforested in some way. Where I shot the talking piece you can see the giant tree that was felled. I think the accommodation is appropriately placed and will hopefully help people develop a deeper connection with the wilderness here in Tassie. Thanks again for watching and sharing this great commentary! :)

Ben, Thank You. to use one of your descriptive words...''Awesome!''. [ Without your Tasmanian accent! I'm a Brit. Ha ha!] Unique, stunning. That view and the river. The forest and the trees and the simpleness to it all. The perfect retreat. As you did trekking through th forest. Somewhere to reset and reconnect. The design of the cabin is excellent. Yes, as below, a few minor things could be added. But the essentials are lux quality. And the essential skylight in the loft space. Literally into nature out the door. And Ben, of course always watch to the very last frame! Always makes me smile. Great job again, great editing and presentation. Have a brilliant holiday season. Family too. Stay safe. And alrrady awaiting the next video. Cheers. All the best.

That is a stunning view, and what a wonderful location. There are quite a number of luxury elements to this tiny house which make it an excellent choice for being so secluded. The open concept for the loft helps offset the short ceiling - and I see you’ve managed to secure a skylight again: well done!
The well-appointed bathroom is a pleasant surprise, especially that large shower. The fire pit is a very nice touch - did you bring that large steak with you or is there a butcher’s shop conveniently located to the cabin? The only thing missing (besides laundry facilities) that would make one’s stay better is a place to sit on that brilliant deck - a deck chair or two would allow one to really take advantage of that view. Thanks for sharing, and if you’re still reading, a very Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Hey Mark!, Usually Off grid its a little trick but this was so easy and luxurious considering the remoteness of the spot. Yes, love my skylights! haha. Oh that wasn't me cooking the steak, that was some footage from @gilayestate (on Instagram) - sadly I didn't have enough time to participate in camp fire cooking, but it was completely set up for it, and there is a wonderful Butcher in Deloraine about an hour away. Oh I completely forgot to mention that in the camp cooking storage area they have deck chairs and umbrellas that you can place on the deck. I think the weather gets a little extreme so they pop them away so they don't blow away. Still reading, and a very merry Christmas to you as well ;)
