I came across Norma ammunition a year ago from a shop near my gun range. I bought a box of Norma Tactical 308 147gr ball ammo so I could sight in my Remington 700 SPS. This rifle/ammo combination shoots between 0.60-0.80 MOA. I've never been able to get that kind of accuracy from this rifle. The ammo shoots clean as well. I now hunt with the hunting ammo. It works very well. Thanks Norma!!

@@normaprecison You like feedback so here is my story.
I have been a professional hunting guide since 1976 working in the U.S Pacific NW to Alaska where in Alaska I do Brown bear hunts and Yukon Moose hunts.
I had a client disregard the requirement to being a 338-win mag as the minimum rifle then the client brought a deer gun 30-06 with the cheapest 150 grain lead core Federal ammo for his moose hunt.
I found the client a HUGH ! Yukon Bull moose with horns of 68 inch spread and like 1400 pounds.
I told the client to shoot the moose in the lungs and like everything else I told this client he refused to fallow my instructions then shot the moose in the neck only causing the Hugh Moose to fall over.
Not known to me the moose was laying in chest High Willows only stunned and when I walked up to it from 20 feet away the moose got up then charged me with Hugh horns turned down and to the side.
At the moment I was hit in the face with the horn I jammed the CZ 550 Mauser in 9.3x62 Mauser into the moose brisket and fired a Norma 232 Vulcan 9.3 bullet into the moose that killed it instantly causing the bull moose to fall on top of me mashing me to the ground under the Bull moose.
This Norma 9.3 - 232 Vulcan bullet was found under the skin in the right hind quarter, so this bullet it had traveled from the chest brisket the full length of the moose vital organs destroying everything and I have this bullet which is 1/2 way pealed down the bullet in a perfectly round mushroomed.
I used to use a 338-win magnum, but the 9.3 x 62 Mauser is so absolute lethal on large and dangerous game I use it as my first-choice rifle for guide work and collection of winter meat.
I can say honestly Norma saved my life that day because if it had been another company brand bullet it most likely the other brand of bullets would have failed to stay together then blown up with so much energy transfer at point blank range.
I know for a fact of watching clients shoot Hornaday bullets - Burger Bullets and Nosler bullets -- Speer bullets all of these brands of bullets blow up causing many wounded game I often have to go look for and risk my life finding wounded bears or angry in rut bull moose.

I didn't like hearing Beretta now owns Norma because Beretta is on the extreme of a bad company the way they treat people who by goods with the Beretta name or imported by Beretta.
I got into a scarp with Rick Gump the Beretta rep over the warranty of my Tikk T3 the bolt handle busted the bolt just on opening the bolt to extract a spend cartridges.
I was accused of dropping the rifle and busting the bolt - I was accused of all kinds of this Beretta is getting Tikka T3 rifles back for broken bolts.
I came down to telling Rick Gump if I don't get this gun fix the gun is going to be in my Alaskan guide booth at trade shows where thousands of outdoorsmen are going to see the T3 bolt design defect - that caused an instant from Rick Gump to say HOLD ON WE DON'T WANT THAT SO I WILL GET A NEW BOTH BUT I KEEP THE BROKEN BOLT - yeah he didn't want anyone to see the T3 defective designed bolt broke,
Beretta is rotten and dishonest to the core !

Their cartridge holders are definitely the best. In one of the opening scenes you can see a person's hands pushing the rifle round up and out with their thumb... Its that easy and they stay secure until youre ready to push one out. I also like that they break off in 5 round segments. Then to top it off they are biodegradable and also make for a good fire starter.... excellent. I like to save them and reuse them with my handloads. I save the burning for in a pinch

The only time I used Norma ammo was when I borrowed a rifle to hunt with while mine was at the gunsmith's shop. A friend of mine loaned me an old 8mm Mauser he had updated with a new stock and scope. I had heard of the caliber, but it wasn't until I started looking for ammo that I found at the time (1980's) very few places sold it and those that did only sold Norma brand 8mm Mauser rounds. At that time you could buy a 20 round box of 30.06 of all makes for around $10.00. A 20 round box of Norma 8mm costs over $30.00! At that time one Norma 8mm round cost more than one .50 caliber round! But, they do still produce ammo for many obsolete calibers, so they can charge what they want if you really want to shoot it. BTW, I only shot 3 rounds to make sure the gun was sighted in, but never saw a legal buck on that hunt. My friend was happy to get my leftover ammo.

Very impressed with the new Norma Match .22 LR ammo. Very affordable price and my Walther UIT Match rifle will put 15 rounds into a button sized hole at 50 yards with it and it shot respectable and way better than what it costs at 100 yards. I see no reason to shoot $15 a box Eley at 50 yards when this is available for 1/2 the price and in most cases in my German rifles 2. Walther UIT Match and 1. Anschutz 54 it shoots way better than the expensive brands do.

@@normaprecison I will say on a Hunt I was guiding a client for Yukon moose in the High Arctic preserve the hunting the client shot a Hugh Bull Yukon moose in the neck with a deer gun 30-06 that only stunned the moose to fall over.
The Nosler partition 180 grain bullet only went 5 inches into the moose then stopped in the meat and the bullet blew off the full noise of the bullet leaving just a small bullet shank reducing the bullets energy.
I walked up to the moose that jumped to its feet with horns lowered and charged me with only second to shoot I jammed the CZ 550 Mauser in 9.3x62 Mauser into the moose's brisket and fired a Norma 232 Vulcan bullet into the moose that killed the moose as it fell on top of me.
I was trapped under the moose from my chest down, it took the client 45 minuets using an Alder wood log jammed under the moose to get the weight of the animal off of me, so I was able to wiggle out from under the moose.
The Norma 232 gran Vulcan bullet was found under the hide in the right hind leg and had expanded 3/4 the way and in a perfect expanded bullet with lead core still firmly in the copper jacket.
This Yukon moose was for sure at 1500 pounds and for a bullet to travel from chest brisket to hind leg under the skin and stay together is near unheard of for a cup and core bullet.
Take into account this Norma 232 Vulcan bullet had been fired point blank into the moose then traveled through all vital organs and the gut bag filled with vegetation that had been eaten then the bullet passed through the intestines and through more meat to rest between the skin and muscle of the hind leg and still didn't come apart.
This was loaded Norma ammunition I bought when I bought the CZ 550 in 9.3x62 Mauser and I still own half the box of that Norma ammunition with the 232 grain Vulcan bullets.
I have used other cartridges of this box of Norma loaded 232 grain Vilcan bullets to take down 1 wounded 9-foot brown bear that charged me and the client I have taken 2 moose for winter meat with other cartridges from this same Norma box of ammunition.
The 9.3x62 Mauser using Norma bullets is a death ray on all animals.

How’s the headspace on your rifle? I have a Spanish 93 Mauser with mismatched bolt. When fired with Remington (low pressure) ammunition the primers were backed out and brass stretched unevenly at the head. The 93 actions are weaker which is why American ammunition companies load it to low pressures. Norma ammunition from what I hear is pretty warm stuff. If you have a current production boat gun that’s not a military surplus then may be the ammunition watch to blame, but if you fired it out of a Mauser I suggest checking the headspace.

@@jamesavery6015 yeah, at first I was thinking I’m going to have to remove the barrel, throw it on the lathe and cut some relief or face the chamber end, so I could correct a headspace issue. But when I checked the headspace after removing the rest of the cartridge from the chamber, it was well within specs. As well as I remember this was a 98 action. I have a custom.300 win mag that a guy got frustrated with and sold it to me for less than he had in the muzzle brake. I did a casting of the chamber and there was a TON of free-bore. So now I’m thinking of reaming the chamber out to .30-378. I gotta check the chamber specs first though. I might have to face the chamber to get rid of some of the free-bore before reaming a new chamber.
