+Eleanor Rigby festivals are usually like this. Very rare that you see people filming sets. This was unbelievable though! Would do anything to relive it :)
Supposed to be studying for my summer exams but then I was suddenly hit with memories of their gig I saw 4 days ago. Would do anything to be back in the Olympia
+Michael Gill I was 4 rows from the front bang splat in the middle... did you get affected by the pushing at the front? We all got pushed over... like off our feet
Yilmaz Anonymous yeah I fell right over, got crushed the shit out of but wouldn't change a second, it was all of that which made it the best act in terms of atmosphere, the crowd was fucking mental
+Bobby Drexler should of seen it at Cardiff last night mate, holy fuck, sweating my tits off after the first song, people crowd surfing, 6 mosh pits at the same time!
Aw man. I love it when it's just the crowd that sings and the singer holds the microphone to the audience and their face just has that look like "wow these are my lyrics and these people know them. Wow" and it's a really beautiful thing. Idk it's weird but it's so cute.
I think what makes this band so great( apart from the music) is the fact that they are all so down to earth and not phased by any of it. Just from watching this and being at the leeds set, you can see that catfish are massive but you can also see that this is only the beginning and they are going to get bigger and bigger. Van and the lads have no idea how good they are and look so happy/ full of disbelief at the amount of people that know their lyrics/ love their songs and I think that this is amazing. Love you lads, I'm so happy for you x
amen to that. Their set and the 9:30 Club in Washington DC was absolutely colossal and was like a religious experience to me. Bob nodded at me and Larry even signed my shirt! Great to see a humble, working class band get what they deserve. Mark my words if their 2nd album is better than or equal to The Balcony, the lads are gonna fucking play Knebworth. They're gonna influence youth culture for sure just like what The Stone Roses and Oasis accomplished. Love ya Catfish & the Bottlemen 👏👏
+chris hamer they played it when I saw them... but if you check out the Glastonbury set, they didn't play it there. so I guess they only play it sometimes.
at glaston the set list was cut short... that's the case for every band that isn't on the night headliner. they made it a point to play it in reading though, first song... got it out of the way, and kicked off a great set!
I'm an American and I agree with you. All the gigs in the US that I've seen everyone has their phones out! It's so annoying! Enjoy the fucking gig and don't worry about a fucking picture!
Cutest thing when Van just laughs because he's in disbelief as to how many people are screaming their lyrics back at them!❤️ shows how down to earth they are!❤️
I saw these guys back in February and Van was surprised the audience even knew the titles of their songs. And now the crowd is singing the lyrics back to them. I'm so happy to see how far they've come in such a short amount of time.
So true! My favourite band, best night of my life, screaming along to my favourite band drunk with my mates! Never will forget this set, it gives me goosebumps haha
The atmosphere when I saw them love was amazing bouncing from start to finish with everyone knowing practically all the words great bands and one of the best I have seen live
Went Reading again this year. Many acts I liked and were looking forward to. Was at this set last year. Not a single set came close to this Catb from 2015. Honestly don't know if I will see a festival set as good as this again! Whenever I see one I compare it to this!
Imagine only releasing one album and filling out a tent so much that people are watching from outside the tent at one of the biggest festivals in the world and everyone knows your lyrics.
maybe I haven't watched all their other recorded shows but this one will always be my favourite, reminds me why I was fucking obsessed with them back then.
Was here! The best set over the whole weekend, waited so long to see them and finally did. No exaggeration, that was probably the best night of my life, the atmosphere was mental, just watch the beginning of homesick for example, it's mental. Love these guys and watching this gives me goosebumps!
I actually met these guys at Todhills services on the M6. They were sorting out their gear on the grass then putting it back in the van ( transit long wheel base ) before going to a gig, pure rock n roll. Any ways they seemed like nice bunch of guys and I was pleasantly surprised to see them a few years later playing Reading. Good songs, hard work, result!!!
+Jonathan O Well Noel I supposedly a solo artist but I'm a massive fan love catfish and the bottlemen but noel is in a class of hi own atm saw him at radio x and he was brilliant. If noel is a solo artist catfish and the bottlemen are the best if high flying birds are a band then high flying birds are the best imo
I've been following this band since a very long time like more than a year and its really frustrating because I'll never see them live because of where I live and also I'm poor so I can't travel to anywhere they're having concerts so yeah my life is a nightmare
Hesitant Alien they went to play here at my city 3x this yr and i hate myself for missing it just bc ive became a fan just months ago so yeah my life is also a nightmare but in different degree
Jaicel Asegurado Oh im sorry, but You know, if they played 3 shows in your town this year then they will surely come back next year, don't worry! Im from Poland so there is not even a slight chance of me seeing them here
Hahaha me at 5.24, this was literally the best fucking night of my life, I was too happy, I screamed the words so hard I think I'm permanently damaged. I love you catfish so much, and I intend to be at the front of every coming concert until my voice breaks forever thank you for being so amazing
I was here too haha! I agree best night of my life, screaming along to every word of my favourite band. Watching this gives me goosebumps, like reading was so good ahhhhhh
Unbelievable.... van just keeps getting better! If you guys have time please have a look at our COVER of cocoon (on our channel) and see if we do him justice hahaha :)
I wish I was part of that crowd. You can tell that everyone's enjoying the performance plus they get to witness the band's passion while they're on stage. Hopefully they'll have tours in Asia, I've been dying to see them for years:(
im sorry but this was way better than their headline set this year. They actually seemed happy to be playing reading and leeds that year and this year just felt as if they’d rather be somewhere else doing something else
It was my second time at Reading festival that year and I can safely say that out of all the bands I've seen there, these guys were absolutely something else.

Catfish are sick live!
That's a proper crowd, going crazy, love it
+Bobby Drexler I was right on the barrier and it was fucking insane, best act of the weekend in terms of atmosphere!
+Michael Gill I was 4 rows from the front bang splat in the middle... did you get affected by the pushing at the front? We all got pushed over... like off our feet

+Bobby Drexler You should see the bit too far to the left for the camera, we were just sprinting round moshpits.
+Bobby Drexler should of seen it at Cardiff last night mate, holy fuck, sweating my tits off after the first song, people crowd surfing, 6 mosh pits at the same time!
It's similar with Oasis and Arctic Monkeys when they first came out, cool band + interesting style (of music) + fucking bangers = proper fans
If that doesn't inspire you to play music, what will...
Louis Tyson ❤️
Wow, actually yeah, they inspire me to play music, I love them so much
i learned guitar because of them!❣️
It inspired me to learn the drums
@@AufdemLaufenden777 LETS FORM A BAND MATE !

+Andrew Koh it doesn't get any better 😂 leeds fest was nearly a month ago and I'm still not over it
Finally playing Rango live
+Cameron McLintock So underrrated
there best song imo

Still not over how fucking perfect pacifier is live
what about fallout! When he said put your hands up and then nails the distortion on always
I just love seeing so many young people into good rock again, catfish, leaders of the rock revival
van live better than album quality... 10/10 on this performance

Finally they start a set with Rango and Tyrants of course is always the best, they just cut short this time. The best set they've had done so far tbh.
Such a sick set. Highlight of the festival for me, best night in absolutely ages..
