i just purchased an industrial brother sewing machine. The stitch length won't change. it is very small. where do i find this screw on a brother?
You will need to find the service manual on it. It isn't something easy to describe here.
I had this same issue on an older consumer-casual grade brother model
Thanks Kevin. Would this be a cheat way to increase the stitch length beyond the stated max 4mm if you needed a longer length for a specific project? Or is this just for fine adjustment?
You might be able to get it slightly longer, but there is a physical limit based on the size of the opening for the feet.

What about if I loosened screw but still no change in stitch length.😢
You need to turn the bolt - not the screw.
Hi, did you take off the metal plate on bottom after removing the plastic case? On singer 4411 it has no hole to stick screwdriver in to adjust, please advise, Thank you

I have the heavy duty 6800. It suddenly stopped going in reverse and (at the same time) when I hit the cut button, it only cuts the bobbin thread, not the thread going thru the needle. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.
Since it is an electronic machine it could be the board that is causing the issues.
Hey Kevin! I’ve just found your videos - they’re very handy! I’ve managed to create a problem with a Singer 4411 whereby the the hook hits the needle every time the needle is in the lowest position. I can’t see a way to alter where the needle sits in terms of closer or further away from you when you’re sat facing the machine.
If you’ve come across this before or have any tips for fixing it I’d very much appreciate your help!

@@kevinsews thanks, I managed to sort it by loosening the set screw at the top near the presser foot tension dial. Once that was loose I was able to adjust the needle ever so slightly to the front so as it missed the hook!
