Well lying seems to work just fine for the American government..
I mean they lied to you about WMDs, you went and killed more than a million of Iraqi civilians over a lie..
And.. nothing... you didn’t punish those who lied in any way..
Then obama came and lied to you about EVERYTHING!!
Got a Nobel peace prize and then authorized more drone strikes (which killed thousands and thousands of innocent people) than any president before him..
      And.. nothing...
And now biden is lying to you about the state of your economy, about Ukraine, Russia, China, Taiwan..
And you are not doing anything about it...
That’s coz your whole American society is built on lies..
Even your history is a lie - I mean you call your nation “the land of the free”, yet it’s a nation of slave owners which was built on the occupied land of native Americans, through oppression and genocide of the natives..
Americans/Anglo saxons are the most despicable people on planet Earth - yet you constantly talk (lie) about the spread of “democracy and freedom” (through invasion, bombing, oppression and occupation)
      🤷‍♂️

So true... very good advice..many years ago when I was a kid I played up a bit, a family friend saw what I was doing, pulled me to one side and said to me. Why are you doing this? Don't make waves, because you never know those waves might meet up and bounce right back, we all make little ripples and little waves hitting you is no big deal but one day a tsunami size one will come thundering back at you and it will be your doing... think about it... and he walked off. I never forgot that.

First...Gen Z (?) kid, thank you for having the courage to share something embarrassing with the world. I mean that sincerely.
Second... Once again, your dad is right.
    I'm a Boomer.
Had a lot of ups and downs in my life.
When I was your age, I made a lot of mistakes... including many lies.
I spent many years correcting my mistakes the best that I could.
These past 20 years, I have been able to hold my head up and be just a tiny bit proud of the man that I finally became.
HOWEVER, just recently, a lie that I told someone when I was a young teenager in 1980... that I had completely forgotten about...raised it's head out of the darkness.
Thankfully that person that I lied to all those years ago, decided to accept my heartfelt apology this past week.
And we are able to move on, with that "scrap of paper" (as your dad put it) getting picked up.
Lies, regardless of the intention of why the lie occurred, will have a butterfly effect on your entire life... until the day that you die.
So do your best to not lie.

I'm sorry you and your Dad don't get along well. That's a heavy feeling. Maybe if you concentrate on those that do care about you, a feeling will arise just as heavy on the good side of things. As humans, we tend to dwell on what we don't have. If we keep in mind what we do have, and the good people and things in our lives, only then can we value the good over the bad. You might find (and I hope you do) the good outweighs anything bad. We can only control our own behavior...not others.

Try to remember some of us didn't have fathers and don't know what to do. The simple fact that you have a child doesn't mean you magically become a mature thoughtful person instantly. I was the same 21 year old kid the day after my daughter was born that I was the day before. I did my best but I was clueless. I was too hard on her, too easy on my second and close to right on my third. And above all keep this in mind. All the issues that seems so huge to you right now will seem petty when he's gone and you can no longer talk to him about then. I'd also suggest to anyone who's got issues with their father listen to Larry Elder's story about his father or read his book.

    • @tonyrmathis
      @tonyrmathis 2 роки тому

      @@younowhythatis6381
I'll ask you the same question I asked a friend of mine who resented his father. Are you a good person? If so then your dad did something right.
Consider that before you overcompensate with your own kids. Also take a look at the behavior of some of the kids we have running around today. The same kids who claim if you really care about a cause you're willing to commit violence in it's name also never received physical punishment growing up. What does that tell you? That they were raised feeling like they weren't important enough to their parents to be properly disciplined when they needed it. Parents who cared more about how they felt than doing their jobs. Parents who wanted to be friends instead of parents. Somethings are too important to hope that reasoning with a child will prevent them from doing it. I received one spanking from my father as a child and it was for sticking a knife in an electrical socket. It hurt him deeply to do it but it was necessary because my life depended on it. It was better that I fear a spanking for doing it than hope that I understood that electricity would kill me, IF I even understood the concept of death. How many of those kids did something that could've killed them or ruined their lives and their parents didn't take appropriate action to insure they didn't do it again. How many got caught driving intoxicated only to have their parents give them some minor punishment and in the name of trusting them allow them to continue to drive, when the truth was they couldn't be burdened with driving the kid everywhere? How many saw through the lie and knew their parents didn't love them enough to be bothered?
So no! Don't be the dad you always wanted. Be yourself. Be what comes naturally then you won't have to think "How did I 'FFEL' when my dad did or didn't do this or that". Besides your kid isn't you, isn't living in the same conditions or era.

Not that I didn't love my mom(God rest her soul) but my Dad was the one that really tried to teach me, make me a good human, and was there for me mentally, emotionally, and I never doubted for 1 minute that he loves me!! My mom was a damn shrew to him, but even when she was actively passing away, even as mean as she was to him, he was there for me the entire time, taking me for drives to calm me down, and just hold my hand and let me cry! He had no love for, for good reason, but he knew I was hurting, knew what I was going through, and was supportive of me the whole damn time!! My dad is truly my hero!!! Young man, my dad is on his death bed working on his last breath right now as I leave this message. If my father was capable of parenting in a similar way your father did, I would be at his bed side instead of at work getting fatherly advise from your father via youtube. As a parent myself as well as Pa-Pa to a 5 year old, I look forward to moments like the you and your dad share and truly soak them in when they arrive. Even thru turmoil we have we have the option to exhibit how we were raised either through violence or compassion, you sir are doing right. I see the compassion in your eyes and look forward to enjoying future videos, thank you this helped me.

That's great advise dad. It's a learning experience for the kid as well. People are easy to judge you for one mistake instead of focusing all the good things you do instead. Hope all is well and mom's home safe and sound. Love you all. 💖💖🌹💋

Good stuff and sage advice--Your dad is a legend for explaining the consequences calmly, rationally and without spoken judgement but you could see some disappointment in his eyes. Work hard to pick up those pieces and be a better man going forward, my friend--THAT is what his eyes were telling me.

You've got a great dad!!! Cherish that and learn everything you can from him!!! He really loves you and wants to teach you right, that's the only reason he's hard on you and yells! He knows that life is hard and he's trying to save you alot of trouble in the future. Keep putting out the good content. Others that don't have a dad like yours learn from him too❤️

This is something close to what my dad taught me. He also broke me from stealing. He caught me when I stole a toy I really wanted. He also made me take it back and tell them I took it. Now at the age of 43.... I can't even think about taking a free pin without asking.

Lies do have a habit of coming back and biting ya on the arse, it's never a good idea to tell a lie because it always catches up on you.
Liars need to have very good memories because sometime or other someone will bring it to question even if it's a year or two down the line.
Your Dad is a sensible man.

Your Dad loves you. I can hear the subtle softness in his voice when he knows you're being serious, or when something really affects him. I wish my son would listen to me like you listen to him. It's hard to watch him make almost the exact same mistakes I made (that almost destroyed me), try to offer advice, and have it thrown back in my face. I see people saying how you should be grateful and heed his advice all the time in the comments. As a father that has tried to do the same for my millennial son PLEASE pay attention to him. He will save you so much trouble and heartache from doing the wrong things.

My boy, you are a "Chip off the old block!" Give it time! You are going to be the man that you seek to become because he is providing invaluable life guidance! (Your dad reminds me so much of my Dad!). Trudge on trubador and trust, whilist questioning everything! The only thing I ever took at face value was from my Dad. Everything else I questioned, and it has hereby, made me a better man at my young age of 53! P.S.- (Meeting the two of you is on my bucket list!)

Great lesson in life. Dad has given you the tools.. maybe not to fix it, but to make sure you’ll never have to go thru it again. Saying you were wrong doesn’t make a man weak, it shows how strong you are to admit it. Maybe it will help someone else from making that mistake in the first place. All the best

Kid you’re lucky to have a wise man in your life that you can grow and learn from . Priceless and here’s the greatest part of it all. When the time comes and you’re his age and you’re missing him you can always look back and watch these videos of him that you have made and you’ll see how wise he is. You’re so lucky to have him in your life you both have a wonderful relationship with each other and he’s someone you can mirror yourself after
