I worked on retail tv for a while, and stuff like that happens all the time, you have to have quick reflexes to cut to recorded material before the studio erupts in laughter. One time selling a big blingy ring with a big stone in it, the presenter caught the ring on the sleeve of her dress and the gemstone went flying and hit the wall.
My brother in law was a segment producer for one of these types of networks for many years and he said it was absolutely nerve wracking. They were live, no delay, so he had to be quick when stuff went wrong with the demonstration and it goes wrong often. Not over the top stuff like this, but plenty of little things that could work against the pitch. He said the vacuum cleaners were the worst offenders, he would have to routinely cut away from the close ups when they clearly were not picking up the debris.
It would not have popped if it had been 41% more puncture resistant. Instead, it was only a mere 40%. Sheeeesh, what were they thinking by not going that extra 1%?
40% more puncture resistance is a useless barometer. You can't tell anything from that. The reason they chose to use more resistant than telling you how resistant it is in reality is because 40% looks great on paper on an idiots first glance. But if if was only 3% puncture resistant and you 40% more resistance to it you still only have like 5% of puncture resistance.

Imagine trying to still promote this product for hours after that… yikes.
Oh my gosh I'm so glad I saw this. I'm going to see the Atlantic Ocean next month and I was going to get one of those mattresses.
The timing was perfect!
“40% more puncture resistant ”
Mattress: Bet
Mattress about to show them that other 60%
My brother in law was a segment producer for one of these types of networks for many years and he said it was absolutely nerve wracking.
Shoutout to every couple that broke one of these together
Wow, the algorithm brought us this gem in 2021. Anywhoo, this was like Ole boy and the Tesla window 😳😬🤣
I mean, who the heck just walks on a mattress with heels on 😆
They were trying to demonstrate how puncture resistant it was, but failed gloriously cause it’s actually cheap Chinese junk.
@@Puggy42069 a failure it was 😆
I need to go to sleep and all of you are keeping me up! 🤣
Thank you for being honest
It would not have popped if it had been 41% more puncture resistant. Instead, it was only a mere 40%. Sheeeesh, what were they thinking by not going that extra 1%?
I don't think they considered people wearing heels standing on top of it
40% more puncture resistance is a useless barometer. You can't tell anything from that. The reason they chose to use more resistant than telling you how resistant it is in reality is because 40% looks great on paper on an idiots first glance. But if if was only 3% puncture resistant and you 40% more resistance to it you still only have like 5% of puncture resistance.
And this is why you shouldn’t wear heels when selling an air mattresses on television.

Didn't even stop to ask if she was okay, instead she immediately says "except for that one time."
I'll probably wait for the 45% more puncture resistant model. Hahahahahaha! 🤣
Bender: "I'm 40% puncture resistant!"
clink clink
Watch the item sold counter # number go backwards now.
This video gets recommended 40% more everyday 😂
It's like her brain was telling her it was a bad idea, but she still went along with it
