I would say the reason I watched Squid Game was because of TOP (Thanos) but if you would ask me who's my favorite character (not basing on the actor who potrayed it- biased wise), it's player 120. One of the nicest and bravest character. She really deserves to win the money, go to Thailand and have her full surgery. Park Sunghoon really acted the role well.

Loved his take on the two characters. I thought about it as well while watching, how they were both military personell handling their gender-based prejustice differently. I've seen a lot of takes on Squid Game by now and hadn't seen it mentioned until now, so I had forgotten that I thought about it at all.
I watched squid game bc of T.O.P and thanos regardless of T.O.P is my fav but it sure does help that T.O.P is my bias
Same, watched squid game because of TOP but I liked his character the best not because he's my kpop bias but because he portrayed the role so well and Thanos made this season more bearable to watch (imo)

I had watched a couple of Korean movies like Parasite and Forgotten (loved em), but Squid Game was the first Korean season I ever watched. Got me hooked lol. I just completed watching Mr Sunshine earlier today because of Lee Byung Hun (Frontman) and man o man, what a serial. 10/10. Looking forward to watching more stuff.
Loved that series. When I found the real photo that the real reporter took of the real rebels it hit me hard what the people have been through and I cried my eyes out! Just wish it had a better title but that’s a common issue with really good K-dramas.
@@clarewillison9379 Yeah absolutely. My sister has been watching K-Dramas and movies for a lot of years now, and she always told me that they are making some great content. So I watched Mr Sunshine with her and both of us really enjoyed it. The acting, cinematography, writing, all the characters, the romance and even the little comedy here and there, everything was top notch. Plus the blend of these fictional characters in a real historic setting made me appreciate it so much more, particularly because I am a history student and a nerd. I have studied a bit of Chinese and Japanese history but didn't know much about Korean history, so just by watching this drama made me go look up and do some research on that time of Korean history and learned a lot. There are so many characters in that serial that were actual historic characters and real events like the Canadian Journalist and the Photographer who took that picture you talked about, or the member of the Righteous Army who met Eugene in USA, or the Army General who committed suicide etc. Fantastic overall!

Well, naturally I loved Seong Gi Huns character. (Thought Lee Jung-jae played role very believable, just fantastic acting 😍).....and then Han Mi-nyeo and Jang Deok-su, a crazy lovable pair! Obviously loved the Cop, no secret being Wi Ha fan. Haha.

not every koreans accepted the actor but they might've really liked the character he portrayed bc of how goofy his character was, but, what surprised me that some of them picked the doll, yes it's not an actual human, nothing but a doll, I know it's part of their culture but how hilarious for some of them to pick a doll than the actual " characters " on the tv series.
