Asriel's Troop gets a new cage and Midas helps out, cute little mice

- Once Asriel's troop is getting along well, they are all moved from the small introductory tank to a large, open concept mousery. Just some day to day mousy care....with a lot of Midas thrown in :)
Note: Asriel is a little handicapped due to an injury he sustained when he was younger. He is fine though, almost two years old, he lets nothing set him back.

The mice are so round and cute like hamsters.
I was thinking this, especially when they sit down to eat!😂
You are so gentle and acomadating to your mice. We just love watching your videos. Gracie and her little squeak so cute
Gracie is gorgeous! I love her pelt color
Mice of the new group seems to get along pretty well in their big new house!
They all seems so happy
Hope you are too!
That lovely little shorthaired grey mouse you had in your hand is GORGEOUS. GRACIE!!!! She is my ideal mouse.
She is pretty awesome, very smart with tons of personality. She is mellowing out now a bit with age, she was quite a feisty little thing in her youth :)
I see Midas riding the hand that cleans his cage
I could watch these videos for hours. Totally absorbing. Thanks Aud :-) The troop seemed to settle in nicely. You have some of the happiest mouses in the most interesting environments and they all look incredibly healthy and clean and shiny.
Leo is so sweet! He and Summer are really beautiful. I really had no idea how very cute and interesting little mice really are💕💕💕. Of course Midas is a little favourite!
Thanks for sharing your mousey love. Raining, so this cheers me right up! 🐭
My rats love to be on my shoulder when I'm doing chores like sweeping.
Me and my mouse Frankie like to watch your videos together, thank you for sharing your adorable mice with us!
Leo is an awesome mouse love him so much he's too cute to die.
I love my mice. I think they are fancy mice with black tan coat. But they are cute.
These are the most pampered mice in the world. All of them are so cute. 💌 🐱 🐭 🐱 💌
Super cute
9:20 how are you not feart of escape! :D we just added some new babies to our mischief and one managed to climb out the tank and on to our mantelpiece with the tank lid off just a wee bit!
A successful intro is lovely to see, we had one too 😍
They are such lovely mice! And so tame!
Once in a while I do get a mouse who does jump but this is rare. My mice are in a mouse proof room, so if they do jump, it is no big deal. Most of my mice spend their entire lives in an open concept mousery and never leave.
Same! My mice would be jumping right out especially my cheeky one Biscotti she is crazy and would of legged it ages ago 😂
Your mice are really cute and have pretty locks of fur. I wanted to ask if you can make a video about treats and food brands you recommend for mice. I find alot of contradictory information online about good foods and toxic foods.
I am planning on making videos like this in the future, but currently all I have time for is vlogs. Still have a lot of mouse cage and mouse furniture to build which takes a lot of time. Once this is all done, then more complex, instructional videos will be possible. For now you just have to glean information from my vlogs, they do often talk about foods and treats, general mouse care stuff.
Midas: Mom! Why are you paying attention to someone other than me?
I always enjoy coming back to your cute little mice. Thank you for sharing them with us.
@Creek valley critters would you ever breed abbyssinian’s I have two and they are the cutest really want attention but a lot more skittish then my satin girl I’ve noticed
scamperous little mices 💕
Right little rap ists lol
Too bad they don't live very long .... they are ADORABLE
They seem to love their new home, when will Lily have babies? Will you document the babies as they grow?
This was filmed three months ago and in this time Lily has had several babies with Archie. So far they are all wonderful, they have their mother's intelligence and their father's outgoing friendliness. Lily is the best little mom ever :) But I am not doing much filming and video editing in the next few months, I have to get the mouse room completed and have a lot of mouse furniture to build, not to mention the miniature cabin. So for now just the occasional vlog, but once all the building is done, better, more professional, instructional videos will come, including of babies :)
@@CreekValleyCritters that's very understandable. I shall look forward to upcoming videos, and eventually seeing the new babies. What colours they came out etc.. 😊
How old is Midas at this point?
I asked myself the same thing!
He looks like a cute elderly but I don't think he's that old
My guess is that he's somehow between 1y/o and 5m and 1y/o and 7m
But maybe he's way much older as he appears very grown up in early August 2019 videos
Midas is one year and seven months.
💖💖😘😘
Ive been wanting to ask this for a while! If my mice aren't big on burrowing and more of little den makers is it okay to have a cage for mine similar to yours where there's only bedding material in their hides?
Dust is very hard on mice and bath mat carpeting is the most dust free bedding there is. For young, healthy mice I also give them some paper based bedding as well, for sickly/elderly mice I only add this in the corners. Uber is my favorite bedding by far because it is the most dust free and non-allergenic bedding out there, easy on sensitive mousy lungs. I try to always include a digging box into my cages, so they can indulge their instinct to burrow in a safe way.
Help me! I found a baby mouse and I don’t want it to pass away. I can’t get ahold of a wildlife rehab as it’s night where I am. The mouse has open eyes but it’s so small what should I feed it?
Watch my video 'Raising a Baby Mouse 10/10 weaning' and make sure you read the updates in the description under the video. At this age survival chances are high. Make sure it is in an escape proof container with good air circulation and a soft warm bed to sleep, give it a jam jar lid of clean water, make sure it always has access to water. Feed it wild bird seed, mouse seed mix or blocks, grains, bread, seeds, nuts, greens and healthy human foods.
😄
I have five infant mice, and I don’t know what to do with them.
Are they orphans? If so watch my video series 'Raising a Baby Mouse 1-10' and make sure to read the updates in the description below the videos.
@@CreekValleyCritters yes ma’am. I have some puppy milk I’ve been trying to feed them, but I can’t seem to find a paint brush that is tiny enough to fit in their little mouths. I tried to take them to the vet; however they were just going to kill them, and I could NOT let that happen.
Are they potty trained? How do you keep that carpet clean? I am looking into getting some Mice and want them in the nicest cage possible.
Not many people use carpet most use aspen shavings (pine and cedar are toxic) or paper based bedding like carefresh or clean n cozy
@@fiercecloud3871 oh okay thank you!
No, mice are not potty trainable and you have to wash the carpets regularly. For elderly mice, carpets are best because they are the most dust and allergen free. Mice have very sensitive lungs, especially as they get older, they can get respiratory infections very easily. My favorite bedding is Uber, a paper based bedding that is the most dust, allergen and odor free bedding I have found so far. Since switching to bathmat carpeting and Uber, I rarely ever get respiratory issues with my mice when it used to be common place.
@@CreekValleyCritters thank you so much for your reply! Sounds like you spend a lot of time keeping it as clean as it appears.
@@CreekValleyCritters I would love to try carpet but my mice are such burrowers! Also I love how cheeky and cute Midas is he reminds me of Biscotti who was biting my dust pan whilst i was cleaning the cage:)
pet valu is closing there stores in the U.S. i bought fresh 4 life natural pine bedding its says for mice and rats have you ever used it ?
I hope i didn't waste my money i normally use carefresh can't find aspen
Can this bedding be mixed with carefresh
I use Uber, a paper based bedding and the most dust free out there. Pine shavings are usually too dusty for pet mice and can make them sick. Mice have very sensitive lungs and can get respiratory infections all too easily. I used to use pine shavings but not anymore. Since I switched to Uber bedding and bath mat carpeting, I rarely ever have a mouse with respiratory illness.
@@CreekValleyCritters this says its dust free
@@terrancecampbell216 It's all relative how dust free plus pine shavings are somewhat toxic. Not near as bad as cedar shavings, but still a bit toxic. If you have super healthy, young mice things should be OK, but if you notice any sneezing, runny eyes or excessive itching, change them to a dust free paper bedding.
Hello 👋💋🐭🐭🐭🐹🐁😍🥰
Are they supposed to be so big?!
Or are some of them pregnant?
@@rebekazommere8306 No, it is just that some mice gain weight as they get older. My line is also fluffy, making them seem larger plus they get super good care, even before they are born, which creates larger mice.
I have a question. Don't they pee on that carpet and if so how do you keep it clean and not smelling of ammonia?
I would think washing I every couple of days would help. Plus not having intact males will really keep the smell down anyway. Maybe similar to using fleece in a rat cage? X
@@K9Katie her not you.
@@kamikazitsunami 👍
I wash them as soon as they start to smell. I add a little Uber paper based bedding to the corners and with healthy, young mice even more bedding. It works and I have never had less problems with respiratory illness than now. It used to be common, now I rarely every see it. Keeping mice, especially elderly mice, in a clean, dust free environment is super important.
My dear mouse baby Nibbles has gone. I have some thanks that at least it was peaceful , she was curled up sound asleep in her favourite hide. Thank you for teaching everyone how to love mice 🐭 they are treated as vermin who carry diseases when really they are affectionate little characters that helped me fall in love with life again. I’ll never forget Nibbles and what she taught me. Thank you again for educating people of the beautiful little fur babies that are mice
Love your voice!!
So sweet. Your videos are so calming. Thank you.
I also got 2 mouse sisters a week ago, they're only about a month old. I called them Nala and Zara🐾😊
Only a month old thats to young to be away from the mother
Not really although 5 weeks old is best. Mother mice stop nursing their babies at around 4 weeks old and between 4 and 5 weeks old you need to separate out the boys.
I love seeing mice in heaps. Soooo cute! Oh Midas!!! He really is a special mousie x
Love love love lil Midas! I miss having a lil fluff ball by my side....
I know how you feel:(
They deserve a treat for tolerating a cage cleaning (and a free ride.)
These videos always make me so happy, I can't get enough of little Midas and Faye's big personalities!!😊😊
You are the mouse mama o aspire to be!
I've got two 12 day old boys from my latest litter that are absolutely adorable. I'm hoping (if covid allows) to have them neutered and introduced into my main group. I have to thank you for that, before watching your videos I didn't know it was possible! Love your mice and videos, take care and give them all a big hug from across the pond ❤
I really hope the neuter goes well I get so scared thinking about having mice neutered as they are so small but I know it really benefits them having more company☺️
mice are such wonderful little creatures. I adore your mice❣ and your voice is so sweet. thank you for posting 💗🐁
What angels.
They all shout one thing. "Don't go!" :D
My mouse is in his nibbling phase.
Biting everything in his enclosure.
I really recommend cardboard it’s very easy for them to chew and they love it!
Gabi...is (s)he a female or a male (I have rather subpar speakers, I couldn't hear clearly)? Didn't know this name's used like this in English, reminds me of Hungarian (could be either gender, exactly same written form). Beautiful mice, video full of love and caring, as always.
My little Gabi is a female. I named her litter all with the letter 'G' and when I looked at her the name 'Gabi' just popped into my head. I think it is a short form of Gabriella. A lot of countries seem to claim the name as theirs.
Hola soy la primera
I just adore little Gracie. she is one of my favorites.
Do you ever have to worry about them eating or tearing up the carpet? I feel like mine would just pee and poop on a carpet...I love how you had the lounge logs set up in the back with the paper bedding in there, looks like it could be a little bathroom! Very clever use for those as dividers, I like it! I wish to make habitats as nice as yours for my mice in the future...
They do but never so much that I cannot reuse them over and over again for quite a while, some of my carpets can be used for years. Overall cheaper than traditional beddings and also healthier for elderly or sickly mice. Just have to wash them regularly in the washing machine with scentless detergents. Dust is very hard on mice and bath mat carpeting is the most dust free bedding there is. For young, healthy mice though I give them more paper based bedding, Uber is my favorite by far because it is the most dust free and non-allergenic bedding out there, easy on sensitive mousy lungs. I try to always include a digging box into my cages, so they can indulge their instinct to burrow in a safe way.
Hello! Do you have any experience with blind mice? You're my favorite mouse UA-camr and I haven't found a ton of info online, so I'd like to know if you have any tips? I just rescued 2 girls and one appears blind and whisker-less due to mites, do you have any ideas of ways to keep her comfy? Thank you!!
Eyesight is not the most important sense for mice so she should adapt well. You may want to keep her furniture always in the same place though and not move things around too much. This will make it easier for her to always know the layout of her home and make her feel less anxious.
@@CreekValleyCritters Thank you! I really appreciate it. She seems just as inquisitive and explorative as my other mouse so i think she's actually going to be okay? The only thing that's iffy is she's very cage aggressive, probably due to not knowing what's going on. But it's okay, I'm happy to have rescued her and put her in a good environment. Thanks friend! Good luck with your mousies!
My baby boy Benny looks a lot like Golden. Very very cute lil mice. Your videos are just so soothing and bring me so much joy. Thank you :)
AUD! I love when I get a video notification from you!
Thanks :)
when (I think it was midas?) was taking a ride on her arm while she was sweeping out the cage 😂😂😂
Seeing videos of cute little mice realy is so cute as hell.
hello with what do you record your videos and what do you cut them with. i have a channel with mice myself, feel free to drop by
Right now I use my Samsung cell phone and Vegas Pro16. I do have better, more professional video equipment but for vlogging, I find the phone works best, it is easiest, most immediate, I can get right in there to the mouse's point of view and the camera does a surprisingly good job. Eventually I would like to switch to Premier Pro for video editing, but my current computer will not accept it and it is hard to learn. Vegas is much easier to learn. I have been using it for a decade now and is quite usable although for more options and professional video editing, Premier is better.
BTW nice mousy setup :) With wood cages though you need to watch out for chewing. I will be revamping my cages with aluminum strips to counter act chewing sometime in the new year....
Thanks for the information and could you help my channel a little so that I get more followers, please🙏🙏
@@ivanwallnofer7700 The only person who can grow your channel is you. When I started out, I did it just for fun, not expecting anything. Anyone starting out in UA-cam needs to have this attitude, because if all you worry about is views, you will soon become discouraged and burn out. Concentrate instead on learning as much as you can about mice, learn about lighting, filming and editing, decide on a focus or meaning for each video so they do not seem random and people can learn something from them and film your mice closer, more from their point of view. Learn to really 'see' your mice, so you can film them in the cutest, best light. Strive to have the viewer emotionally connect to your mice. Videos that do really well on UA-cam are well made instructional videos. Strive always to improve your video making and mouse keeping, but the most important thing is to be yourself, not stress too much and just have fun. UA-cam is a wonderful way to enjoy your animals more :)
Put you hamsters in separate cages
Skaffa glasögon :P
Yes hamsters must live alone but these are mice. Mice are super social and a very different animal, they need to live with other mice.
