Have you though about using the other button on your controler as hard-coded jump sequence, instead of manually adjusting the sliders to achieve it? You could then have a consistent jump, every time the same. Would be easier to use, too. Overall I love your project, I'll propably take inspiration from your setup and code when I'll be building one myself. I'm currently coding my own speech assistant, and I'll want to implement voice commands for controlling the hexapod via said speech assistant, maybe even create some more elaborate movement sequences to use with that. Your design seems to be pretty compatible with that kind of future improvements, so thanks for your work, and waiting for more!
Yes I actually plan on adding something exactly like that 🙂 Infact the current idea is to make it a directional jump based on the direction of the joystick. Ooooh voice controlled thats a cool idea!
This quadroped can get over obstacles and climb stairs all with a unique aesthetic I quite like. I would prefer a hexapod design but if I was to ever buy a floor robot (non-desktop) this design but with two more legs is what I would go for
I would love to look at the cad to study some of the design choices and ideas that went into. I’m interested in building one, but don’t necessarily feel like building one from first principles
I have never saw an hexapod T-bagging before
There's more where that came from 😄
I just imagine using this to terrify friends at night while they sleep over lol
Put some magnets and make it go up a metallic surface. No person wouldn't shit their pants.

If you ever do a kit for the electronics, I'm totally making one as my Droid companion for my star wars cosplay.

A kit is 100% going to happen 🙂

How fast is the Hexapod ?
I haven't actually calculated it, but the last clip in this short gives you a decent idea! I will figure that out for you though, its a great question
@@AecertRobotics thanks. If possible in km/h because I’m from Germany
@@tornado3007 on this scale m/s is probably more appropriate.
