Now that this has made headlines all over the world, the families of the deceased will see the news if they were aware that their family member was trying to come here and so they will reach out.. Probably be asked to provide photos or DNA samples, so that they may be identified, once a body has been claimed, then the family will have to pay for their loved ones body to be returned to wherever they came from. The negative however, is not everyone that decides to make the trip north, let's anyone in their family know their plan, for fear of them worrying, or fear that they will be talked out of coming. But I sure hope and pray that they are able to make contact to find their loved one.

I'm like others, the focus is on the horrific and senseless act inflicted upon these people by the hands of heartless and evil people who are involved in this despicable act of deliberately leaving humans locked in a trailer truck to die. Only an evil person with no regards for human life will do such a thing. You focused more on a reporter who is not only doing his job and who seems to be handling his job very well over victims who have died or is fighting for their lives due to them being placed in this predicament by wicked hands. These people should not have endured such an ordeal, watching others die, possibly family members and fighting for their own lives while being absolutely helpless. I work loading up trailers and I had multiple jobs where the trailer never had A/C and the guy was right it gets about 125 if not even higher inside trailers and I once had a heat stroke cause it was to intense. My condolences goes to those people and their family’s. This sucks more then everything that has ever sucked before we must find these buttholes who are responsible this.
the only semi / tractor TRAILER that would have ac is a reefer and it can run at best 2 days on its own tank of diesel fuel. that cost over 5 dollars a gallon .. temps start at 45 degrees for chocolate bars n such and can go very low for frozen chicken.. way below zero .. you can not use a semi trailer for an rv .... its not ment for that shit .. plain n simple.. yet here it is folks.. dum and dummer
Better vents and just ice with battery fans would have made such a big difference. It really didn't take anything major. You don't have to be a priest of the highest order to have a crumb of compassion. 🧊 Ice Cost little of nothing neither does a few battery fans.

Door releases on the inside of any trailer or container should be mandatory, my box truck had that so you couldn't get locked in.

I live in that area, it is common place to see people getting smuggled in waiting cars on Old Pearsall rd on regular basis. I bet the driver of that semi truck lives in The Creek or near where the trailer was left. Bring those smugglers to justice....

that trailer does have an air conditioning unit. it was not turned on obviously. those trailers are to transfer food ( fresh or frozen) they couldve turned it on but didnt according to the news
@@jemtruckingllc6684 ... SWIFT trucks don't have A/C that transport Walmart general merchandise. Produce Meats and frozen foods are trucked in refrigerated or freezer trucks. Huge diesel or gasoline costs make sure that you transport more costly.

Temp hit 104 (in the shade...no telling how hot it was in a metal box in the sun) in McAllen/San Antonio Sunday and Saturday If they were in back of the truck going down the road they die then. The driver pull up to the area as to let them out and found what happened. He broke the rig loose and made a run for it leaving the ones still alive to fend for themselves.

I bet this was a miscommunication between smugglers -- there is a tragic documentary called Train to Nowhere about a bunch of immigrants/asylum seekers locked in a grain car that was rerouted to storage.

My friend in Texas told me yesterday about the heat in Texas and said 105 where he lives and afraid of getting higher and may lose power. Hadn’t heard from him in a while got worried. Can I ask you a sincere question? What do you think justice would look like? Who do you think is responsible for this? It is extremely obvious that there absolutely is no "open boarder policy" because if there was a open boarder policy then people would not be packing themselves into a 125° F trailer truck to hide and cross the boarder with children. It's clear that our asylum laws are not being followed to allow people who are in fear to seek asylum at the boarder and be given a fair trial and safety during their attempt at asylum and they are willing to risk death or capture to flee the danger they obviously see as worse than putting themselves and their children in a hot truck with no way out and they are not stupid they know people can die doing this it's happened many many times over and much more then we know about I'm sure... should it be the truck driver who although they might make some money for bringing them over they are typically also threatened by cartels or they are just trying to help the people they see as in danger of being killed or tortured if they don't find a way out? Should the truck driver be the one held solely responsible for the death of these people particularly if we know there's about a 70% chance they would have been killed/beaten or their family killed or beaten for even attempting to refuse? Should the border patrol officers who failed to find a truck filled with people including young children who are extremely unlikely to have been able to be kept perfectly silent at the boarder inspection stop be held accountable for not finding them? Should the officials who are refusing to follow our own laws and have been turning away people who are presenting themselves at the boarder for asylum be held responsible? Should the government officials who have ordered them to do this or allowed it to continue be held accountable? Should their home countries who have persecuted them or allowed gangs and cartels to gain control over their people and put them in such fear and danger that they are willing to risk their live in the hope that they will survive and escape from their home be held accountable? What would be justice? I'm just not sure that anything that happens because of this will be anything close to justice in my mind but I'm sincerely curious what you and others think they are demanding to happen here when they are demanding justice???

You hope once your in you can go and find a non-profit or lawyer who can help you make your asylum case and it's still a real risk they will send you back anyway.. what would you do? Would you deserve to die in the back of a hot truck packed with people who all just wanted to live? Would your children deserve death for the "crime" they committed by crossing the border with their parent? Didn't anyone every teach you the golden rule as a child? No? Now, this may be the worst case of this happening but it is not the first time. And yes, it's human smuggling, they were in the trailer of a cargo truck.
There was a case in CA in either 2020 or 2021 where the traffickers had removed all the seats in an suv and piled 25 people, many children, into the suv stacked on top of each other. Police tried to pull them over, the driver ran and crashed, several of the people died and were ejected from the vehicle because after removing the seats there are no seat belts. I think the driver and a few passengers also got away because they ran from the crash scene, leaving the dead victims scattered.

I lived in Tijuana and Rosario with my wife for about 5 years crossing the border each month for doctors appointments. Ill couch my experience by saying I have seen some very atrocious things along this crossing including dead bodies, drug traffickers being detained, under age prostitutes, and victims of child trafficking. The desperation to reach just beyond that wall is so great, so powerful, that people literally risk their lives, and die, each and every day. After traveling through the desert there, I cant imagine many of the deaths being very humane or pleasant. Traveling through the desert along the border, no water, no food, no shelter, and NO body that cares a shit about what happens to you. These things happen each and every single day. I literally have enough stories to write a book.
You should write! People in the US do not understand the lengths people will go through, the desperation, or why our complicated system for legal entry by default makes it worse.
Stay home. You won't risk your life or that of your kids if you stay home. Adults willing risk the virginity of their young children, not to mention their lives. Parents should be prosecuted.
They knew the job would be dangerous when they took it .This is another reason to come through the front door and wait yer effin turn !
This thing happened in UK too..i guess 40 people died in a truck..didn't smuggler know about this incident to prevent this one...how heartless people are becoming now..they need money only...
