  • Zig rigs; love them or hate them, there’s no denying they catch carp in situations where nothing else would. Being such a unique tactic, they are often a last resort, but Scott Lloyd believes they should be your go to tactic for the early part of every year! Having enjoyed his best winter and spring for many years, Scott relays the tactics he has used to outwit carp to over 57lb, proving that Zigs are certainly not a small fish tactic! We follow Scott during two sessions, one on Dinton Pastures Black Swan Lake and the other on Linch Hill’s Christchurch. Neither of which are easy, but with three zigs out there, Scott couldn’t be more confident!

"Well done Scott" Always watch your video's and listen to all your advice on how to catch Big Carp. You'll be really good at "Egging" The way you climb up and down the tree's. Maybe that's where you say "EGGIELAD" came from haha. Keep up the brilliant fishing your doing and that 57lbs carp in this vid was a real beast of a fish. Hope yourself family and friends are all well pal...

Out of curiosity, why you go old school with determined zig lengths instead of using adaptable, which, compared to other gimmicks, is a real progress in zig fishing, considering you can regulate depths from the reel without cutting etc. That being said, I honestly look up to you as a genuine class carp angler who doesn't need to do aggressive marketing, giving logic arguments for what you do, that's proper marketing and TA is a company who fulfills proper anglers desires, few like you, natural.

    Hi Scott,
Not done any zig fishing so what you recommend as a mainline, braid or nylon ?

Tracker zig floats are the way forward much easier than a 15 foot zig 👍🏻

Half a cork mate with an inline lead stem drilled in, much cheaper 😊
