I love this!! I use minimalism Sometimes but that doesn’t mean I have to be a minimalist or look like One. I can be minimal in some categories and a bit excessive in others
I really enjoy how real you are about your shopping problem and your future goals. I think most of us have or had a shopping problem at one point. You mentioned here buying several graphic tees from the same artist because they looked good at the time. This reminds me so much of myself. For me it was spiritual gangster hoodies. A new one would come out and I loved the way it looked on the model and had to have it. When I did a big declutter last year, I got rid of all but one. Sometimes less really is more and it’s sad we waste so many dollars before realizing that. But I’m thankful to get to watch your journey. It’s not curated and perfect. It’s messy and beautiful and I can see the struggle sometimes. And I appreciate you for sharing that and for acknowledging when you can do better and also when you’re proud of yourself. You’re a true gem. 🤎
So relatable, esp the “staple” items that aren’t staples for your style and preference and items that survive multiple declutters only to get tossed eventually.
Wow “I really know myself by now” yes you do! Look at you! You’ve done a huge work since the beginning of your declutter journey! You should be very proud of yourself and I hope you are. All the best👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
An idea: If you love just admiring the vintage fringe jacket, then just hang it up as a wall display, similar to a macrame wall hanging display. No shame if you only use it as decoration!
I loved this video. You should do a video making yourself wear your maybe pile out of the house just for I day for each item and see if you really like them. It would be a interesting video.
What a decluttering! One could see your commitment to it! Congrats! I'm so looking forward to do the same when I return home. Don't stop making these videos. By far the best in the internet!
I started following you about a year ago when you began this low-buy journey and I just want to say that I’m so impressed! You’ve come a long way since posting that first low-buy rules video and I notice you’ve really made it a lifestyle. Just wanted to tell you, as a stranger on the www, I see you and all the effort you’ve put into this. You should be really proud of yourself!💗
You did great! I just decluttered 10 items from my wardrobe and I feel lighter! Since selling online is complicated for me and the items are not very new I’ll be donating. I also decluttered some home decor (it used to be my problem). Thanks for your videos! They’re very helpful!
Wow what is it about these decluttering videos that is so calming (and inspiring). Ps I use the app style book to keep track of what I own/wear etc, plus you can make outfits on it👍🏼
Get rid of that black skirt Christina. I literally just watched your last declutter video and you said EXACTLY the same thing about the black skirt. Time to go. Good on you for making the tough decisions!
You really committed to this one and it shows by how much you felt sure about everything you are parting with! I think when you can objectively think something was a staple but never wear it you know its time to part with it. I need to continue to do this until I just have all the clothes I wear all the time! also graphic tees are hard.
Love watching declutters!! One thing I do with certain items that I don’t wear but there’s nothing wrong with them, is put them in a backpack or bag to keep in my car. I drive a ways for work and keeping extra clothes in my vehicle has helped me several times!!! One time I got caught in torrential rain and having a change of clothes saved me from having to drive home soaking wet 😂
Loved this video so much. I gotta say kudos for letting go of some pieces you don’t reach for and yet fit you beautifully and are so flattering (that white jumpsuit 🤩). You were savage and I loved every second haha. 👍
Big-time declutter! Awesome job. We definitely get to know ourselves better over time and become more realistic about what we will actually wear. You have inspired me to cull my closet again. Have an awesome day.
I decluttered before my bf and I moved in together and I had just explained to a friend how she can unclutter her closet so she can have a more streamlined routine in the morning (this is the issue with having tons of clothing-never anything to wear!) I can say that you and Use Less definitely inspire all of us to live more simplistic which = less time getting ready = more time experiencing life.
I think spring/summer is the perfect time to declutter fall/winter pieces! You'll have a good idea of what you didn't wear past season, rather than get rid of something you'll regret moving forward into that season :)
Oh you could do the ribbon method or the hanger method to really see what items are most worn, every time you wear something and hang it up, just reverse hang the hanger and after a period of time whatever is still hung right side you’ll know you haven’t touched in a while.
Just came from the 2019 declutter and OMG! I can´t believe how much you changed, in this video you get rid off things easier than in the 2019 video. Declutter it´s hard but you make me believe that every time you do it, it gets easier :)
For the future you should see if thrift stores need your hangars instead of just throwing them out! Loved watching the declutter and can’t wait to continue following your journey
I do capsule wardrobes each season. I do a monthly regimen on what I wear each month. If something doesn't get worn in that three month period I either donate it or put it back for another season. Just today i went through my closet before watching this video and got rid of some items I know I will never wear. I have my capsule wardrobe to about 45 items per season some get carried over from other seasons. I had a ton of clothes I never felt like I had anything to wear. I have certain color palette for each season buy items in those colors 3 items per season if I need them or need a replacement. I am so much happier and I never feel like I have nothing to wear.
I wouldn’t get rid of all those hangers. I love those velvet hangars but every so often I break them getting clothes on and off them. I have a box of replacement hangers stashed away for that scenario only. Not for more clothes.
I ditched a lot of them but did keep a few in storage for that reason - and I’ll be too lazy to fish them out for any other reason than to replace them 😅
Watching this and cleaning my computer home screen, deleting old useless files! You have so many beautiful jumpsuits, don't get rid of all of them... I would buy them if I could! (I am in S. Korea so very far from Canada right now.) Also loved the silky tops and dresses (not sure I would wear them either though >
Good work- to see what you wear, do the hanger trick. Put all the hangers in the wrong way round and as you wear things, turn the hanger the right way. Then you can easily evaluate what you’re wearing 😊
I absolutely love this channel and I love your outlook and personality! Fellow Torontonian, right? That Wilfred jumpsuit completely washes you out so I am glad you threw it! xx
re: spreadsheets and wardrobe data... you might be interested in GoldZipper's "NPS" scoring of her own wardrobe-- based on "net promoter scores" that are used to gauge customer loyalty to a particular brand-- she broke her wardrobe into promoters, passives and detractors to determine which items were the most versatile for her lifestyle
Loved what you did! So proud of you. May I suggest something. When you put your jeans back in the trunk put them in folded as you have them but instead of flat lay, put them vertical so when you open your trunk you can easily see what you want to wear. Does that make sense to you? Like a file
I think you do this is a very strategic way because your work attire is so different than what your personal style seems to be. Btw hope things are going well and you’re staying safe at work and home!
Hey Christina, I think we wear the same aritzia size, as you mentioned the sadiki pants here, let me ask your size suggestion. Does it run true to size in linen blend version? Thanks!
I think, the more you declutter, the more you see what's your true style :) Patricia from the channel "a small wardrobe" suggested in a video to do a "clothing diary", where you note every piece you wear in 30 days. She calls these clothes your "active wardrobe", and I think this clothing diary thing is really interesting! :)
I would hang your dresspants and use the space in the drawer for your jeans - that way you can get rid of the trunk :-) I'm constantly decluttering myself and I find every time I do it I learn something new about myself. I do enjoy the process for the learning experience.
Love love your style! I live in Toronto too and would be so down to grab 1 or 2 of your jumpsuits! Any chance of an in person (physically distanced, of course) sale rather than going through depop?
You should have kept that first jumpsuit you pulled out! It looked amazing on you and you kept saying how much you love it! Fuck it! Wear it around the house! Treat yourself!
Thank you for the editing in this video! I listen to UA-cam while I clean, and my young children tend to follow me around the house as I do so. I’d rather they not hear foul language, so for prudes like me it’s much appreciated 😂♥️
I’m a very sweary person in real life but do I try to keep it clean in my videos for everyone xo 🥰🥰 some of my older videos I do swear, forewarning xo ❤️
Hey friends! For those asking, I will be posting to Depop on Sunday June 28th (aiming for 2-3 pm EST) 🙏🏻
Yay for using minimalism as a tool to enhance your life rather than an aesthetic or a strict rulebook 👏🎉🎊
I love this!! I use minimalism
Sometimes but that doesn’t mean I have to be a minimalist or look like
One. I can be minimal in some categories and a bit excessive in others

❤️❤️❤️ thank you so much - it is definitely messy but it’s part of it 🥰
In my opinion- messy is good. It’s real. I like people who are okay with being messy sometimes 🥰
So relatable, esp the “staple” items that aren’t staples for your style and preference and items that survive multiple declutters only to get tossed eventually.
Totally! That was one of the biggest takeaways I learned from this declutter. So many “staples” that I ditched bc they weren’t staples for me!
Totally. The people who made these lists of staples really dont have my lifestyle and astetics. 😄👍
Wow “I really know myself by now” yes you do! Look at you! You’ve done a huge work since the beginning of your declutter journey! You should be very proud of yourself and I hope you are. All the best👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Who is here because you have decluttered your own wardrobe but itching to declutter something so you watch others 🙋🏻😁
Haha yes. Can I film another decluttering video like every week? xD
I’m currently packing all the clothes up that i don’t want anymore hehehe
I literally jumped up and found 5 clothing items to let go of. So inspirational!
Amazing Cindy! Get it!
Oh good idea!!!
I’m so proud you !!!! You was really ruthless with decluttter
Thank you so much!
What a decluttering! One could see your commitment to it! Congrats! I'm so looking forward to do the same when I return home. Don't stop making these videos. By far the best in the internet!
😭😭 thank you for your support emy!

Thank you so so much Cecilia!!

That’s amazing, Jenny! ❤️❤️
Right?! Farewell, dear skirt! Thanks Marg!
You really committed to this one and it shows by how much you felt sure about everything you are parting with! Lol this is practical af 😂 I love it!
Yasss loving this declutter! You went INNNNN ON THIS! Loving these videos beauty! You put a lot of love into this video.
Helloooooo YOU ARE MY INSPO QUEEN thank you!
I sometimes have a hard time getting through declutter videos, but this is made at a great pace. Great channel!
Thank you!!
I love that you distinguish between loving and needing something! I use the excuse that I LOVE so many of my clothes, but I don’t actually wear them.
Congrats on such of amazing video! You have inspired me to continue with my decluttering journey!
Excellent declutter! I loved the balance between talking and fast-forwarding. ☺
I liked the My Closet app for tracking my closet. I used it for about 1-2 years and learned a lot.
thankyou! i just downloaded stylebook but i'll check that one out too!
I decluttered before my bf and I moved in together and I had just explained to a friend how she can unclutter her closet so she can have a more streamlined routine in the morning (this is the issue with having tons of clothing-never anything to wear!) Thank you Jennise! I think signe really has that nailed too 🥰 - she’s inspo all day!
Always love watching your videos while I'm decluttering, thanks for sharing your process!
I did a huge declutter a while ago and my wardrobe is so much more simple now! I also share videos on decluttering and minimalism 🌻✨
Right?! And awesome! Will check it out!
I think spring/summer is the perfect time to declutter fall/winter pieces! You'll have a good idea of what you didn't wear past season, rather than get rid of something you'll regret moving forward into that season :)

Button downs I love, they look terrible on me, something about my bust size makes it look odd and yet I'm still on a quest to find THE one 😀👌
Doesn’t it feel great! I love doing a closet declutter!
Just came from the 2019 declutter and OMG! I can´t believe how much you changed, in this video you get rid off things easier than in the 2019 video. Declutter it´s hard but you make me believe that every time you do it, it gets easier :)

Yes!!! I LOVE a serious declutter. I love the courage you have when you let go. 🤗 You inspired me to declutter 5 dresses and two skirts. 😁
Yesssss!!!!

the fringe leather jacket, you should have kept (it's better than the Saint Laurent jacket I think). BTW love your videos ❤️
You shouldn´t get rid of the jumpsuit (the firtst one) if you love it! You could wear it to work with a black turtleneck under.
I do, but legit NEVER wear it! 😭 so maybe “love” is the wrong word tbh
Yay, so glad you declutteed!
Canadian expat living in Arizona. Absolutely get the tickle trunk reference. Great job on the declutter!
Yesssss gotta love him 🤗❤️
Yesss I'm so here for this Inspiration!!!✔👍🏾
Yessss girl! It felt so good!
Watching this and cleaning my computer home screen, deleting old useless files! You have so many beautiful jumpsuits, don't get rid of all of them... I would buy them if I could! (I am in S. Yessss I’ve heard of it so many times and never did it! I’ll do that + the app tracking ❤️
style apotheca I tried it and it’s been so useful 😊, hugs from Cornwall, UK
Kim-Marie Clothier I will try it! xoxo I miss the UK! ❤️
Yes data!! 😅👌🤓💖 on that journey too! The me in my head is a totally different creature than the me that gets dressed half awake in the morning 😄
All about the data! Haha 🤓❤️
I'm a minimalist too, but noooo! Those jumpers we're stunning on you. I wish I could wear those.
You did an amazing process, Christina. It's so good to see Greetings from Germany
Thank you Katrin! I hope to visit Germany one day!
Great Video!! So inspiring!
Thank you Anne-Marie!
With all those good denim choices, how did the faded jeans with the gigantic holes make the cut to stay?
I absolutely love this channel and I love your outlook and personality! Fellow Torontonian, right?
That Wilfred jumpsuit completely washes you out so I am glad you threw it! xx
Watching through all your declutters back to back really shows your mindset changes. :D I had to laugh when you talked about the slip dresses.
Haha right?! Omg
Curious about how many pieces have you parted with this time, always love you videos 😊
I will do a count and followup 🙏🏻
re: spreadsheets and wardrobe data... you might be interested in GoldZipper's "NPS" scoring of her own wardrobe-- based on "net promoter scores" that are used to gauge customer loyalty to a particular brand-- she broke her wardrobe into promoters, passives and detractors to determine which items were the most versatile for her lifestyle
I love that breakdown! I’ll check it out!
Keep the fringe jacket!!
Loved what you did! So proud of you. May I suggest something. When you put your jeans back in the trunk put them in folded as you have them but instead of flat lay, put them vertical so when you open your trunk you can easily see what you want to wear. Does that make sense to you? Like a file

Btw hope things are going well and you’re staying safe at work and home!
Great tips and so practical
You have 5 Anine Bing tees? I don't even have 1 yet! I have one on my wishlist for Christmas!
Hey Christina, I think we wear the same aritzia size, as you mentioned the sadiki pants here, let me ask your size suggestion. Does it run true to size in linen blend version? Thanks!
I would say it does! Mine are a size 2 and that’s my usual 🤗
Just wondering how do you sell used item, I find it difficult to sell them in Canada.
I think, the more you declutter, the more you see what's your true style :)
Patricia from the channel "a small wardrobe" suggested in a video to do a "clothing diary", where you note every piece you wear in 30 days. She calls these clothes your "active wardrobe", and I think this clothing diary thing is really interesting! :)
I totally agree with you on the decluttering/style finding ❤️ - I love Patricia! I’ve been tracking my wardrobe since August and I’m learning a lot!
Cladwell is GREAT for tracking what you’re wearing! I’ve used it every day since I downloaded it almost two years ago 😱
I’ve heard this one and Stylebook are great!
style apotheca I’ve tried both and prefer Cladwell.
I would hang your dresspants and use the space in the drawer for your jeans - that way you can get rid of the trunk :-)
I'm constantly decluttering myself and I find every time I do it I learn something new about myself. I do enjoy the process for the learning experience.
Good idea!!!
Congratulation! :) Great job! When do you think you will put items on Depop? :)
Thanks Roxanne! I will be aiming to post everything on Sunday! Xx
Would love to see some apartment-declutters as well. Its my porn okay, let it go😂
😂😂 I feel this
Your content is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
😭😭 thank you so much!
Love love your style! I live in Toronto too and would be so down to grab 1 or 2 of your jumpsuits! Any chance of an in person (physically distanced, of course) sale rather than going through depop?
Hey Lauren! DM me on Instagram and we can chat!
Loved this? Curious when will you be posting to Depop?
Aiming for Sunday!
WoW good job! It looks great!
Thank you Sarah!
I’d love to see a video how you create content for Depop. I’d love to sell on there but need more explanations.
For sure! I made a video a few months ago - I hope this helps! ❤️ua-cam.com/video/9jw0m018KuE/v-deo.html
Inspired me to declutter. Thank you
Yessss love it!
Great job 👍🏼
I have days where it's easier to let go of things. Otherwise it makes no sense to even try
Use the Cladwell app
You should have kept that first jumpsuit you pulled out! It looked amazing on you and you kept saying how much you love it! Fuck it! Wear it around the house! Treat yourself!
Stinka you’re turning into a minimalist! I had a naughty May (shopping) and I think I’m doing slllightly better in June lol xx
Haha, Stinka! Yes! 🥰 I did too about my May, June felt better and is feeling better as I declutter ❤️
style apotheca like everyone else has said you’ve had an amazing declutter and the final results are admirable! ❤️
Omg your anine binge collection
Thank you for the editing in this video! I listen to UA-cam while I clean, and my young children tend to follow me around the house as I do so. I’d rather they not hear foul language, so for prudes like me it’s much appreciated 😂♥️
I’m a very sweary person in real life but do I try to keep it clean in my videos for everyone xo 🥰🥰 some of my older videos I do swear, forewarning xo ❤️
Your work is awe-inspiring; akin to a novel that covered similar ground brilliantly. "The Joy of Less: A Minimalist Living Guide" by Matthew Cove
i dont think i can ever throw most of my clothes out 🥺🥺
Okay: don’t put stuff in “bins.” It’s the curse of the 20th century. When u put things in bins you forget what u have.
Totally! The tickle trunk is where so many jeans went to be forgotten - I’m budgeting to get some shelving for the closet so I can see everything.
You did good.
I can’t trust myself with white t-shirts. I wish I could, but nope lol. I’m more like a navy or gray person.
HAhaha I literally laughed out loud when you blurred the bra. Such an American thing to do 😂
😂😂 I did it as a little joke 🤗
Excellent 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 bravo now you can take the money you make from your sale and apply it to your student loan 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🙋🏻🙅🏻
Yesssss girl!
U have heaps of the same thing though...like white t shirts...2 is enough
No black to a wedding
