Excellent episode and commentary! I felt the exact same way about it and also got a little emotional at the end. I could easily sympathize with Rarity (I often do). Realizing the younger people in your life are growing up and not the same people you remember is a lesson that I think works for the entire MLPFiM audience.
This episode really does a great job of portraying the whole parent-wanting-to-keep-their-child's-memories-going kind of thing, where the parents want their children to keep liking the same things all their life, but we all grow up and change our interests as we grow older. It hits home for a lot of us I think, especially those in the comments that are parents themselves; we all want to see our children stay our young children forever, but sadly that's not the way it works. This episode shows Rarity (not as a parent, but a sister, obviously, even though the overall message is the same) trying to relive all of their old memories to keep her younger self alive, but Sweetie Belle has grown out of a lot of her older habits - such as loving puppet shows - and Rarity doesn't come to terms with it right away; she can't see that it isn't making Sweetie Belle happy, and that she likes doing other things now. This episode really does a good job of showing Sweetie Belle's transition from being a young child to a young adult, even as a filly. It is something that many of us can relate to, and I think this episode really does a good job of showing this to us. I have my share of complaints about the episode, but they're more on the "this is more a girly episode than a lot of the others" but that's just my guy side speaking haha. Overall though, good episode.
I've always related more to Rarity and her sister Sweetie Bell then I did to Applejack and Apple Bloom; at least when it came to being an older sister, as an older sister I could definitely feel for Rarity in the episode; while she may have acted crazy it is difficult to let go of the old things that you and a sibling did with each other, there's a lot of great moments that had me laughing as well as feeling so bad for Rarity as well. Also you know it's great that we saw Zipperwheel with her puppy in Filli Vanilli; and now the puppy is an adult dog, great to see that change, and I just love how Rarity just accepts the fact that she faints on a fainting couch; lol; and the moment with Chip and the rock reminded me of the gag in Spongebob Squarepants, lol. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.
Hey, the CMC finally got their statue from the season 2 priemere! Also, Sweetie looks like she's grown. Also, I saw Fleur at the beginning! Wish we got more of her and Fancy Pants. Edit: I've only heard you laugh that hard a few times! XD
@17:40 it's like playing a game and then an emotional cutscene starts and your character is standing there with a giant Lego man head on. You're like "muh immersion!" but laughing your ass off at the same time.
That moment when you finish the last video that you're interested in watching there are no online games that sound fun and you've seen every episode of all of your favorite shows.......My life is pathetic......
While the episode itself is okay, saved by Tabitha's delivery and Lewis and Songco as story editors, this feels like it should've been in season 5 or at least before "The Saddle Row Review". That way, best pony has this slightly out of character moment (which the Fox brothers need to stop with her character) fresh after opening the boutique in Canterlot (explaining her need to be there in this episode), and can then continue expanding her business without worrying about her sister.
*Forever filly* This is easily one of my favorite episodes from this season. All because of Sweetie Belle and Rarity. Not only is Sweetie Belle my favorite crusader, she's also my favorite character in the entire series. And Rarity is my third favorite Mane six. And I think that's where she's going to stay. And I think this episode just made me like her even more than I already did. She was just adorable. I could see why you love her so much. Season 7 episode 6 4.5/5
RarityDash your reactions are the best especially when I want to watch a video and want to watch one of your videos put them together and BOOM the perfect videos and channel
I liked it more than the last episode. The parts with the dog was weak. The parts with Rarity pushing these childish things could've been cringy, but Tabitha carried it.
In case you didn't notice, RarityDash, in terms of size and height; compare season 1 Sweetie Belle and Rarity to their season 7 counterparts. Especially Sweetie Belle. It concerns also Scootaloo and Apple Bloom.
I think Zipporwhill's cutie mark is specializing in taking care of dogs (given that it's a set of paw prints, and she got it when she found her dog). But of course she's still young so she just needs a little help in understanding that. So yeah, I think her special talent is playin with and taking care of dogs
James W Well Twisty showed intrest in Rarity, surprised he is the only one in the show that has. Probably because all Ponies seem to be homosexual or asexual.
I think they may have exaggerated the size of the ice cream a bit. They grow up far too fast... "Is this the little girl I carried? Is this the little boy at play?"
I was looking forward to your reaction of this episode because I know how much of a Rarity fan you are lol. Even though Rarity isn't a fav of mine, I did like her.
THis is such a great episode. I can really relate to the message of how a younger sibling has outgrown the things you used to do with them. It really speaks to me. Top that off with one of Rarity's greatest appearances, planning a day of what Sweetie Belle likes (well, used to like) instead of forcing her own interests on her, was such a great sign of her character. I just can't find enough good to say. And even then Parental Glideance somehow even topped this!
Is the CMC helpless without Sweetie? Throughout this episode, we see Scootaloo and Apple Bloom just going along with the owner of the dog, not really helping in new diffent ways or views. However, as soon as Sweetie comes in, she sees the problem and the problem is just fixed. Unless its like the three CMC have differences to offer their clients, like Sweetie Belle can read situation, Scootaloo is the stong speedy one that can use physical strength to help the situation and Apple Boom... knowledge? I really can't think of anything off the top of my head. But this episode reminds me that Sweetie is the best of the CMC in my opinion.
I think its just that Sweetie is able, in the moment, to empathize with the dog in a way that the others aren't, because the situation mirrors her own. Apple Bloom is herself a pony who has struggled with the idea of growing up and shedding her childhood, and Scootaloo... well, I'm not sure she's the sort who would be piecing this sort of thing together in the first place. Sweetie is the one of them best apt to relate. Which I think is how it works. All three of them bring different things to the table. Sweetie was needed to solve this one, but there are probably other situations to come where one of the others are the key.
funcoolfunfun I'm trying to do the same thing Rarity Dash is doing, but I saw a thumbnail of a reation for the episode! I know what's coming and I'm guessing I know who plays 'the new guy'.
I would love to spend a day doing the stupid things I liked when I was 'a kid', but I guess this works. Though "I don't like to do what I did as a child" doesn't seem like a very child-like lesson! It's almost like this show expects non-children to be watching it. So strange!
This actually makes me worried If that fills only talent is to play with her dog, what will she do when her dog dies? I mean, it won't happen in the show ((Because it's MLP) but it brings up a good point. Will her cutie mark disappear, or will she simply stop being able to do anything anymore, because her special talent simply can't be met.
It bother's me that the CMC are treating there Cutie Marks as a job, i mean there kids it would be better that they play not work, plus isn't telling a foal what there special talent is before they get a cutie mark some type of taboo (i am guessing since no one mentioned what seemed to be the CMC's talent's), i mean they will have there whole lives to do this why not enjoy the time they still has a children.
17:16 "That was just too much, too quick, of the awesome."
No kidding! I was afraid we were about to lose you!
That feel when you realize that Zipperwill's Cutie Mark will only last her 15-20 years at most.
RIP TwistyPopxRarity
2017-2017
A heart forever deflated.
ok, so in the next episode...there are ponies. couldn't help myself. Though I do hope everyone remembers Rarity's 'advice' "NO SPOILERS!"
PotterBrony82 :O REALLY?!?! That's a surprise!
I loved that photo shoot scene, that was amazingly adorable!
Who wants to spend the day with Rarity?
I do!
lili LPS 16 Every day with Marshmallows will give me diabetes!!!
The real question is....who WOULDN'T want to spend the day with Rarity?
lili LPS 16 Sure i'd spend the day with Rarity.
I'd rather spend the day with Pinkie Pie. Though, I would probably get diabetes just by looking at her
lili LPS 16 Dude in a heartbeat YES!! who tf wouldn't?!?
im guessing the talent isn't just playing with her dog. I think that she may become a vet or animal caretaker when she grows up
Yeah, I suppose that's fair.
I think she'll probably end up like Fluttershy or something
16:54 I don't think I've heard you have a fit of laughter like that since Rainbow Dash made her hair look like rarity's
CHICKEN RARITY IS BEST RARITY
That's it. Just my opinion. Don't argue.
Hekman29 Chicken pie
Chicken scootaloo
...
This series and its chickens
Forgot Chicken Applejack (Acted like a chicken in Applejack's Day Off).
Rarity, you're a genius!
No I'm not, dahling, I'm a chicken!
16:53 it was at this moment that Rarity's cuteness was too much for RarityDash to handle.
17:08 Somepony call an ambulance for Celestia's sake!
Yeah seems very legit your reaction XD
"I need Fanart"

Right XD
Saucy fanarts

16:54 the moment RarityDash orgasmed.
I want to deflower that flower. If you know what i mean
YA LIKE JAZZZZZ?
Only Rarity can make loud over the top crying both hilarious and adorable.

When Rarity comes into the treehouse, it's like when your parents come to school for the day XD
16:54 best part of the reaction xD that laughing so good
Was eager to see your reaction to this. xD The Outfit parts were the best haha. Zipporwhill's voice is awesome imo.
I just knew that photo shoot would get a big rise out of you
Your reaction just makes this episode even better
If that sandwich didn't want to be sculpted, it shouldn't have dressed so scantily!
I know than you find an image of Rainbow and Rarity in this Episode XD
16:53 - 17:14 It's nothing short of a miracle that you made it through that scene without having a cardiac arrest XD.
this episode was so cute 😊. BTW you are my favourite reactor when it comes to mlp. You deserve more subscribers☺
Hey, the CMC finally got their statue from the season 2 priemere! Also, Sweetie looks like she's grown. Also, I saw Fleur at the beginning! Wish we got more of her and Fancy Pants.
Edit: I've only heard you laugh that hard a few times! XD
You sound like you're dying when you were watching that costume scene.
I like how hard you try each episode to put Rarity and Rainbow in the same screen shot. Even if one of them was not in the episode.
OMG I'VE BEEN WAITING FOREVER! FINALLY A MLP REACTION
@17:40 it's like playing a game and then an emotional cutscene starts and your character is standing there with a giant Lego man head on. You're like "muh immersion!" but laughing your ass off at the same time.
Lol fav random pony is sassy saddles, cause she's just so "sassy" haha

Season 7 episode 6 4.5/5
I didn't care for this episode initially but it has grown on me quite a lot since then.
god i cant wait for the next episode reaction
Rarity: "Do you have a fainting couch in here?" Sweetie Belle: "NOOOOO!" Me: "Geez calm down Sweetie!"
*That was too much too quickly. I need fanart.*
~ RarityDash 2017
16:57 That hyperventilating though o_o
RarityDash your reactions are the best especially when I want to watch a video and want to watch one of your videos put them together and BOOM the perfect videos and channel
I liked it more than the last episode. The parts with the dog was weak. The parts with Rarity pushing these childish things could've been cringy, but Tabitha carried it.
So to clarify form this episode we learn that Zipporwhill is a Moron and right up until the end Sweetie Belle was a adult in a child's body.
The winter to spring transition is almost here. I love it so much I gave it it's own name: Winter Wrap Up!
These past two episodes have made me cry idek why
this was the reaction I've been waiting for :D
I think this ep made me love Rarity even more if that's possible
In case you didn't notice, RarityDash, in terms of size and height; compare season 1 Sweetie Belle and Rarity to their season 7 counterparts. Especially Sweetie Belle. It concerns also Scootaloo and Apple Bloom.
this is a real nice Rarity ep.
sorry I been Sick today.
i have a some thing in me and i really don't feel good or like my Self.
"I need fan art..." Wow... That bad huh? :/
Rarity is like a lot of us. A big kid at heart.
17:07 All I can think of during this image is Peter Gabriel prancing around a stage with a giant flower head singing Supper's Ready.
I think Zipporwhill's cutie mark is specializing in taking care of dogs (given that it's a set of paw prints, and she got it when she found her dog). But of course she's still young so she just needs a little help in understanding that. So yeah, I think her special talent is playin with and taking care of dogs
this was an adorable episode
16:54 that laught tho
Can't wait for the next Episode Reaction, not gonna spoil nothing you guys!
honestly I think this episode shows how Rarity desperately needs to have a baby of her own
James W Well Twisty showed intrest in Rarity, surprised he is the only one in the show that has. Probably because all Ponies seem to be homosexual or asexual.
I think they may have exaggerated the size of the ice cream a bit. They grow up far too fast...
"Is this the little girl I carried? Is this the little boy at play?"
Dang RarityDash haven't heard you laugh like that ever since Newbie Dash!
16:54 I was expecting for you to freak out when this scene shows... I was right. XD
Rarity as a rose was so adorable x3
Rarity should hang out with Sweetie Bell more often because I think it really gives them more development as siblings and I love it.🤗
16:54 that laugh!
I was looking forward to your reaction of this episode because I know how much of a Rarity fan you are lol. Even though Rarity isn't a fav of mine, I did like her.
This just in: the newest Pinkie Tales: "Egghead and the Beast" has been released on Magpie's channel.
16:59 - 17:16 literally my reaction 😂😂, I love you Rarity
THis is such a great episode. I can really relate to the message of how a younger sibling has outgrown the things you used to do with them. It really speaks to me. This episode makes me wonder when we'll have an episode focused on Sweetie Belle again, and Scootaloo for that matter.
The next episodes are weird like one of them has a character that you wouldn't expect in Mlp
I liked how he reacted to Rarity's outfits in 16:52
Rarity and Sweetie have had three episodes and all have been good
*I, um, guess I just prefer black box experimental theater.*
My favorite line of the whole series tbh.
Is the CMC helpless without Sweetie? Throughout this episode, we see Scootaloo and Apple Bloom just going along with the owner of the dog, not really helping in new diffent ways or views. Overbearing Rarity > overbearing Applejack
15:30 Because the world needs Scootaloo memes.
to this i wonder, Becuase the actual Episode is just a "Small" window in the total video... does it fall udner fair use?
I feel like I want to call that afro Pegasus Afro Trotter or Disco Trotter
TM
While this IS a great episode, it's among the weaker of the season.
As for next week's "official US" episode... I can sum it up in two words: "OH BOY"
funcoolfunfun in a good way or a bad way?
In an "amazing" way.
funcoolfunfun Next week's episode is probably my favorite of the season, and one of my favorites of the show.
Same for me on both counts.
funcoolfunfun I'm trying to do the same thing Rarity Dash is doing, but I saw a thumbnail of a reation for the episode! I know what's coming and I'm guessing I know who plays 'the new guy'.
the tiny ice scream is just a low blow to Sweetie Belle from Rarity.
Just a quick note here. Check the last thing by Tridashie. :)
MagpiePony's Egghead and the Beast is out, you REALLY need to react to it. I know I regretted not recording my reaction to it!
really glad you liked the episode - was afraid you might have found Rarity to obnoxious and not like it as much but that didnt happen =)
Move over Scootaloo, there's a new chicken in town!
In other news, Magpiepony's 'Pinkie Tales: Egghead and the Beast' is up.
I agree. I don't get why people are calling this one of the weakest of the season so far.
without going into spoilers raritydash I will only say you are not prepared for the episode after next weeks
Raritydash.exe has broken into laughter.
dude, after whatch this episode, you HAVE to see again the Sisterhooves Social episode again
Hey, RarityDash, did you know that the latest Pinkie Tales 'The Egghead and the Beast' is out now? Well, if you didn't, now you do.
I would love to spend a day doing the stupid things I liked when I was 'a kid', but I guess this works.
Though "I don't like to do what I did as a child" doesn't seem like a very child-like lesson! It's almost like this show expects non-children to be watching it. So strange!
Chip Cutter, huh? That's a viscous name. I wonder what Chip from Beauty and the Beast thinks of it.
I do Rarity's wings during the photo sequence are the are a callback to the wings from Sonic Rainboom.
I want to spend the day with rainbow dash!
Double throw back
16:55 RarityDash looses it XD
This actually makes me worried
If that fills only talent is to play with her dog, what will she do when her dog dies? I mean, it won't happen in the show ((Because it's MLP) but it brings up a good point.
Will her cutie mark disappear, or will she simply stop being able to do anything anymore, because her special talent simply can't be met.
Maybe a vet or something related to animals ?
It bother's me that the CMC are treating there Cutie Marks as a job, i mean there kids it would be better that they play not work, plus isn't telling a foal what there special talent is before they get a cutie mark some type of taboo (i am guessing since no one mentioned what seemed to be the CMC's talent's), i mean they will have there whole lives to do this why not enjoy the time they still has a children.
Hey Raritydash! The newest "Pinkie tales" by Magpiepony is out!You should totally watch that!
(At 7:50) huh...? *"HOLY SHIT"!*
Maybe they should have gone for a "cat's in the cradle" pun?
17:07 Oh look, it's Jessie from Team Rocket
"A very effective episode." - More like a super effective episode
