Or all those kids who LOVED Reggie and the Full Effect because all the girls they had crushes on loved that shit. Or how I saw Modest Mouse in a basement in Philly around the time of This is a Long Drive, and now I have hipster kids trying to talk down to me about “the good old Modest Mouse” when they’re referring to an album that came out 8 years after I first saw them, and 4 years after I think they started declining. At least this kid isn’t trying to impress some girl with star tattoos on her shoulders and black horn rimmed glasses that she doesn’t need.
about the same fidelity as the 7" version, ha. I saw them open for J.E.W. around that time and this song blew my mind. bought the record, played it to death, and gave zero fucks about how shitty it sounded.
been trying to find out how to play it on guitar for years, i'm like 90 percent sure this song's not standard tuning, but correct me if i'm wrong. finger placements in live vids of this song are too wacky to be standard i'm pretty sure.
