The fact that they come back almost every night is amazing
My grandmother used to live in the country. A house on a cliff overlooking a small lake/pond. For 40 years she fed the wild raccoons. Multiple generations that always showed up in 7-20 numbers depending on the season knocking at her glass door around 8pm every night. I am not surprised they returned every night lol.

@@TierDvik This reminds me of the Canadian guy who does that. He continued on the tradition after his wife who used to feed them passed away. He has videos on UA-cam with them, The Raccoon Man or something.

My family lived on an acreage when I was a child. My dad brought home three abandoned baby raccoons. We let them run around our house. My mom had to put child locks on all the cupboards because they would pull everything out. I always said they were like cats with hands, because they could hiss and purr and were mischievous. I love raccoons forever because of this. Someone found out we had raccoons in our home and the provincial government took them to a protected provincial park. I will never forget those rascals. Thank you for saving these cuties!

I ❤️ raccoons! I use to have 3 come to my home & peer in the windows. I called them Peepers, Jeepers & Creepers. Then they brought their babies. I'd leave treats for them & they all would run in & out of my legs... mischievous ones for sure!

I read that in the wild they live 2 to 3 yrs in the wild due to predators, starvation and disease. But in captivity they can live 10 to 15 yrs. Maybe since these 3 little guys keep coming back to be fed they'll have a little bit better chance.

Was thinking them digging out is just how raccoons behave. Should have left the first hole for them and not bothered with repairs. They were acclimating themselves! Which is even cuter!

That's really nice of her to give the raccoons their freedom, most people probably would've kept them caged up, or maybe worse. This lady is truly warm hearted and my deepest respect goes out to her.

Heart of gold. Some people at the point when raccoons were escaping would’ve been selfish and cage them for good like indoors but you made a flap giving them a choice. Exactly what I would’ve done. No animals deserve to be caged. Try living in a box for your whole life......I didn’t think so. Animals don’t have a voice. God I love this lady. So like minded. Thank you. I love u for what u do. I am so glad that you raised them, and that they came back, and that they continue to do so. They usually only remain for a season or two and then it's off to find their own territories, especially the males. So don't be disappointed when that day comes.

I fostered a baby raccoon when I was a child. My dad rescued him when his mom was hit by a car, the poor baby. We nursed him back to health, and eventually successfully released him 🥰 they are so sweet and entertaining 💕

What a sweet story! We have raccoons come into our back yard occasionally to eat our cats’ dry food, but they aren’t tame, so we can’t pet them. They’re cute to watch though.
