My first interaction with beach body reps was when a handful of them came into my work offering us free shakes to show their “appreciation” for us. I asked if they had an ingredient list with them because I have food allergies and need to be cautious. They didn’t, so I politely declined due to my dietary restrictions. One of the women continued insisting that I try a shake and said “it’s okay! Our products are dairy free and all natural!”
This is when I realized that these “coaches” don’t even receive proper trainings on the products they are selling, and have no knowledge on health and nutrition. Just because it’s “natural” doesn’t mean that someone can’t be allergic to it. Peanuts are natural, and that’s one of the most common food allergies. 😒

You've said it exactly, Danielle. Pregnant women have to be careful about the food they ingest as it is, and I feel like they have to follow a nutritional guide put in place by their doctors to ensure that both she and the growing fetus are healthy. No way do those supplements provided by Beach Body give any kind of nutrition, especially since this company prides itself on weight loss (regardless of how toxic and dangerous their regimens are). Her advice can prove to be fatal, especially to pregnant women that have high risk pregnancies. This is terrifying to me to listen to. As an autistic person, I can confirm that wearing the same clothes every day not only takes away the stress of making a decision, but also feels safe and you know that these clothes are comfy, they fit your body well, they don't itch or are too tight etc. It doesn't mean that you want to eat the same boring food every day. I mean, some autistic people probably do that and I often eat similar stuff, but it has to be tasty because food is the best thing ever. Also, as someone who's struggling with orthorexia, sticking to "safe foods" does not sound healthy to me at all.

I’m so tired of hearing people say “eating healthy doesn’t have to be expensive!” But it is! One persons cheap is another persons expensive! The closest Costco to me is over 3 hours away and even if it wasn’t I’d still need to pay for the membership and have enough money all at once to buy in bulk and then the storage space to keep all of the food. The best I have in my town is Albertsons Market which isn’t bad, but fresh fruits and vegetables are still a lot more money than frozen!

I live in Canada and in the winter fresh fruit or veg are usually the worst choice than frozen. They were probably shipped across the continent and picked a week before actually being ripe, while frozen are picked at peak ripeness and frozen right away. Also, fresh stuff is expensive here in the winter! Even in the summer, we can't grow things like oranges or avocados, so they are always imported. So, yes, shopping the outside of the store is sometimes more expensive and not always healthier. The rice, grains, beans, frozen veg, canned foods, and baking ingredients are all in the middle.

I work out because I know it reduces my risk of osteoporosis (which I have several risk factors for, including the aforementioned eating disorder) and because it helps my mental health. Whenever I feel like my focus is shifting to calories or "punishment" for something I ate, I definitely bring it up in therapy.

It's so fascinating to watch anti-mlm content while I am in the process of setting up my own business. Absolutely nothing that distributors are told to do to build their business matches up with what actually goes into planning, launching, and running one. This one is such a great illustration. If people are coming up with objections they are not your target market. Know your target market and speak to them.Answer their concerns, of course. If you are on a loop of having to make content to challenge objections constantly you are doing something very, very wrong.

@@IAMCCSuarez It's a little different in marketing. Customer avatars are like personas, and you can have several. It's an exercise in understanding who your customers are by coming up with fictional "avatars" for them; you can then keep those avatars in mind when developing branding, content, products, etc.
But, yeah, having avatars as an indepedent sales consultant... meh. I mean, the company (corporate) should have those figured out.

37:27 What you're mentioning here is a broader problem that stretches beyond the bounds of MLMs. It's called 'hustle culture'. From what I can tell, it's just a way for employers to make employees feel better about not earning enough money in their 40-hour job. It's all about pretending that working 40 hours a week isn't good enough anymore. It's toxic, dangerous, and abusive. I don't care if it's mopping floors or managing the finances of a Fortune 500 company- working 40 hours a week *should* be enough. The fact it isn't is a damn rip-off. We shouldn't need to hustle and monetize our hobbies to make ends meet. A second income stream shouldn't be necessary for a single person to afford food, shelter, water, and electricity. Anyone who perpetuates hustle culture is toxic.
