Thank you, finally someone explaining reels in a laid back and authentic way instead of "you have to do this, you have to do that..."... I draw digitally though, let's see how to translate the advice into that.
Lovely voice!, Love your advice of staying close to yourself. I am trying to stay and post in that way but it's tough because it means that I'm mot being 'trendy'. Hearing your advice gives me courage to stay put! Thank you🥰🙏
This was incredibly helpful! Thank you so much!! I didn’t know you could fix the focus! Do you prefer making a standard video or one that is “cinematic” setting in the phone? Also, is there a certain video quality setting you choose to film at? I know IG can condense things if they are too high quality.
I almost always film with my Sony camera instead of my phone! I film everything at 4K. Also, I create a lot of my reels using footage from my horizontal UA-cam videos, so filming those in 4K allows me to re-purpose horizontal videos into vertical reels without losing resolution. That has been super helpful!
It's the Canvas Co mount/light, but unfortunately, it's not my favorite tool... In my opinion, it is a bit overpriced for what you get. It's fine for casual filming, but I never use the light on it. If I were to purchase another clamp mount, I would find one that has the standard universal tripod attachment, not just the phone clamp since I film mostly with my Sony camera these days.
Hey!😊🎨 Thank you so much for these wonderful, helpful tips & advice!! I just wanted to ask, what is that phone/camera clipping lamp stand you use? This looks like a great solution I had been looking for for long time... How much "weight" can it carry? 📷 I'd be superhappy for f urther information on this 🖌 with kind, watercolorfully cheerful regards & wish you all the fulfilling best success for your beautiful, authentic art creations! 🤗 have a lovely day🌺
Thank you for the very kind message! I am using the Canvas lamp and phone stand. Unfortunately I would not personally recommend it. I still use it because it was very expensive and I got it almost 3 years ago, but I'm sure there are better (and more affordable) options out there. While I do like the fact that it's easy to clamp and move around, the actual lamp isn't very good, and the stand isn't very sturdy. It can carry the weight of my Sony ZV-1, but it's definitely more suited for phones. I hope that helps!
@@PetalsbyPriyaWatercolor Oh, okay I see! In that case, I better look for some other option/solution. Anyways, many thanks for your quick response and advice!👍 Wish you a nice day🌞🎨 best regards🙂
Hey hey! I hope you enjoy this video :) What other tips and tricks do you have for creating IG reels? Let's chat in the comments!

Finally a youtube video for artists that has real value
I have the canvas lamp too! Clipping it to the window sill is GENIUS
It has helped SO much with the shakiness!
Hi Priya can you please make a video about how you film and edit your reels. Not many artists have done this. Thanks 🙏
