The key is to try and prevent the the hot gasses from being pushed away from the burning cycle inside of your AB pipe. theres too much exposure on your fuel injection system inside your AB pipe. whats happening is that when your raising the r.p.ms exhaust generated from your engine itself is pushing the combustion cycle away from the area inside your AB pipe, thus preventing the AB pipe too work on its principle efficiently. there are several layers inside a AB pipe. Reed about it.
    cheers

Hey Sk8,In standard condition without burner and with the standard exhaust it has just under 20lbs of static thrust at full noise @ sea level, with afterburner the thrust guage reads 29.35lbs @ 115,000rpm, however the burner can temps are really high, calcs show it up around 1700-1800C which means the A/B can only be run for a max of 8 or 10 secs at a time.

Hi there, great job! 30% increase is very reasonable! Ive built a turbojet turbine and am on my way to my next project of making an afterburner for a jj-3000. I've found a company that can fabricate high temperature/impact ceramic castings, so this may be the route I go down instead of stainless. This may allow for longer run times. Is it possible you could point out a few dimensions or resources you used to design yours? Dont worry, im not a time waster - i really am an idiot!

Sorry, no. The afterburner was a "one off" which was made for my 1/5th scale dragster project, which you can also see here on youtube..
However, if you really would like to make one I can help you..!
    Cheers,
    Smithy.

    Hey Brendan,
Drop me an email and we can discus an afterburner for your P200, we should be able to get a reasonable increase in thrust for you.

If the total pressure is high enough, you should be able to shape the nozzle (converging-diverging) so the airflow goes supersonic and produces more thrust.
