Thanks for such a detailed explanation. Many people who basically refer to charts, tell to wait. But this fundamental reasoning gives a clarity for that waiting period.
Mr buffet also said that if the company is paying high dividend then its also a sign that they are having lack of opportunities to grow, if itc will disburse 80-85% profits as dividend, wouldn’t it be negative point.

Excellent narrative..As per the presentation, ITC is still premature for Investing and need to observe until the Cigarette business takes the backseat.
I am very positive on ITC due to their FMCG products. Today we can see many products which are brand their self like savlon, ashirvaad, bingo, sunfeast in addition to their dominant position in cigarette industry
Today I was reading a fb post by Mr Vasant Maheswari . He was pessimist about ITC . I was seriously thinking about my holding of ITC . This was best time for me to watch your video . My reasons to buy and hold ITC was their fmcg and agri business. Thanm you .

Invested from 180 levels and will hold for 10 years. Sure shot compounding through twin engines of earnings growth and PE expansion. Dividend yield is a bonus.
The quality of FMCG product by ITC is truly world class. Its just matter of time the firm will again command high respect in the Dalal Street that it commands today at the kirana shop, Malls and Departmental stores.

Please analyse TATA MOTORS as company wants to become debt free from high debt and also there sales are almost doubled from last year , New SUV are also launching soon. I think they will show a good growth
Are you on management board of ITC? I think management watch your video and took decision on Capital allocation . Therefore today they decide about demerging of business. Hats off to you.. Will this shoot to sky??
This can be the next Reliance story, Milk the traditional cash cow which has reached terminal growth for future ready businesses. If i were the top management would keep milking ITCs cash cow for the next few years into FMCG and Hotels, eventually demerge it when they are self sustainable. Tourism is a huge focus area for the government, hotel business thematically isn't as negative as people make it out to be
ITC is an undervalued conglomerate and is treading the same path as HUL. Its FMCG business is growing at a fast pace and the only overhang is the hotel business. Cigarettes have a relatively inelastic demand and any tax increase will be passed on to the consumer.

Wonderful analysis, a capita employed turnover comparison with the peers in the FMCG segment would've made this incredible video even better. What's your opinion on a potential cigarette growth rebound looking at India's demographics? The terminal value of ITC is perceived to be low as of now but what if/when we growth in the cigarette segment. Please share your opinion on the same
Cigarette consumption per capital has been declining as per the data I've looked at.However, what is interesting to note, is that Tobacco consumption is increasing moderately. People might be switching to other forms of tobacco (cheaper priced) :)
Cigarette is a sunset industry. People now a day more focusing on thier health which was not the case 20-30 year back. And fitness trend is clearly visible. And we Indian are not that open as American are for an example, a American adult can easily consume cigarette and no one will judge you but that's not the case here in India. In India we judge other people a lot and we are not shy to express our opinion on others habit/ choices
@@Juggernaut__ Agreed. no cigarette volume growth may lead to very low terminal growth but the terminal value will not be zero since they can raise the prices and make same/higher free m revenues

Good analysis sir. And I don't think that the regulations on cigarettes will affect too much to ITC because the capital employed is too less on this business and also it has great market share in cigrette and I think the time will come soon when FMGC sector will start to expand its margins

@@SOICfinance thanks for the reply Ishmohit
@@Juggernaut__ Agreed.
no cigarette volume growth may lead to very low terminal growth but the terminal value will not be zero since they can raise the prices and make same/higher free m revenues

Invest here and wait for its business to grow or any demerge,or any bonus share etc
Nothing to loose

Thanks for the insightful presentation. A question, Abdiversified, regulated Company which is moving from tobacco (cash generating) business to fmcg (will take time to give impressive cagr) why you think dividend will increase?
Good analysis sir. And I don't think that the regulations on cigarettes will affect too much to ITC because the capital employed is too less on this business and also it has great market share in cigrette and I think the time will come soon when FMGC sector will start to expand its margins
FMCG will take some years though :)
So nice explained thanking you sir for detailed analysis
