I love your video. I sent this to my daughter as I sent the other one that I came across the other day with your little baby cow mooing. It was so cute my grandson loves little cows.😊 My daughter’s new husband grew up on a farm in Nebraska with a big family When I was 18. I babysat on a farm, but they only had horses. I think the farm life is wonderful. Your family is so great how they help out. Keep posting these great videos. My grandson really likes them a lot You ‘ve got another fan. and me too 😊
My grandmother told me a story about the cows her family kept when she was a child. I didn't believe it until she showed pictures of it. Her and her siblings and friends would play soccer in the pastures. One day the ball was left behind, when the next day they went to play, the cows were amusing themselves by kicking the ball around. After her father learned of this, he tossed a few more balls in the pasture so the cows could play all day. Maybe you can get your cows to play also, would keep their minds off messing with each other?
They are still soooo cute! I love watching them & y’all interacting with them. Keep the moo moo baby cows videos coming. Blessings, Love & Hugs from Vicki in Ft. Worth, Texas 🇨🇱🇺🇸👍❤️🐮🥰🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
They look Awesome. A woman's touch makes for Healthy Calves. Children's Love goes along way too. Ok Ok , the farmer also gets some credit too. Keep up the good work and God Bless The Pratt Family!!
Our jerseys we raised from bottle calves will be going to the processor next month. We are looking forward to having some nice home raised beef. We will be keeping one for ourselves and selling the rest to family. They are two years old. We decided to wait until they were two, some people go longer, some not as long. Just personal preference. I have found out that the jersey steers are not the smartest cow. They have no respect for fences too. We have one who is a special kind of stupid, he will step over any fence he can. Good luck with yours. Take care, see ya :)
Since we know NOTHING ..... our plan is 18 month to a 24 months. Somewhere in there. I am not happy to hear about the "lack of respect for fences" Lol. we have goats, so I know what you mean LOL.
Don't cha just LOVE babies? Now the flies aren't bad, but get ready flies will be terrible in a few weeks. I'm sure y'all are aware of that. You're doing a fantastic job with them. Nice to see that your not having to bottle feed anymore! Keep it up you're doing fine!
Enjoying your time with the kids and cute boy jerseys you to look great also so how long do you keep your beard before it gets trimmed or taken off. Wife looks like she's lost some weight.
Oh I'm glad. Actually all the steers have now been to the butcher. We kept 1 and sold 2 at processing time. I loved having these cows and can't wait to get more!! They were so fun to be around!!!
my grandpa and grandma used to call their cows to them by, yelling sssssoooooooooooKKKK started out low pitch with the s sound and ended higher with the k sound and the cows always came
First, it is the price, I found dairy baby bulls for 20$ a piece. It is a little more work with them because you have to feed them by bottle with powdered milk, until they are able to drink from the bucket...and later on to be able to switch to grass, hay, or whatever else you will feed them
@@horiatomescu Yeah but that's what in expense buying milk or powdered milk 3 times a day for how long? But really 20 bucks for bottle babies? What's typical though?
These are our first ever calves. We have not figured out the $$$$ yet on you question. But I think I would also be interested in getting weaned calves and do that cost comparison.

26 months is the industry standard in the US

I found xl dog collar and put on my bottle calf.
Great idea!
Is it worth getting calves at that age instead of one's that are fully weeined ? What's the pros and cons.

You want to check about the calfs, with local dairy farmer, he has continusely cows giving birth, and you can ask him for any advice you may have 🤔
