Stumble to the channel by accident but with good explanation I can now apply the knowledge to my cx 5 23 thxs for the tips.
You can resume the radar cruise control by pressing the resume button on the steering wheel as well as pressing the accelerator. Even easier! 😊
BEST and most concise explanation I’ve see if this feature anywhere. Well done.
Thanks, as I'm driving through Arizona.
I test drove a CX-5, and I swear the car stopped behind another vehicle at the lights, then took off when the other vehicle did, without me touching the accelerator. I was very surprised and happy it worked that way. I now own a CX-5, and today it didn't take off by itself at the lights. I'm hoping it was just a setting, because I definitely want it to take off by itself again each time.
as far as i now in my country Malaysia CX-5 have 4 different variant and only the top 2 variant does that while the bottom 2 doesnt
Nice. Does this setting come with my Mazda 3 2018 - Se l nav ?
Thank you! The manual is not good at explaining but you are!
What's the upper speed Limit for mrcc?
@D3adCZE There are things to watch such as going into a curve, it slows down when it approaches the car in front, but when it clears, it accelerates rather aggressively. So, to avoid this, cancel the MRCC in going into a curve, reset when you are on straight. Mazda warns us the MRCC only assists. I spent 3 days trying different configurations: MRCC on, only regular cruise control on, cancel and reset MRCC and regular in different situations and it worked (My Mazda 3 GS) beautifully. One trick I do is instead of letting the MRCC do the braking, I brake manually, then reset MRCC when the road clears up. When I am approaching the car in front at a higher cruise speed, I can choose to cancel MRCC, then after it slows down for a few seconds, reset and use the MRCC again. This trick works on MRCC or regular cruise. It is completely safe when you cancel since you are back to manual driving.
Does the cruise control sense bumps ahead?
The braking is more firm than I like when coming to a stop so I usually override. Otherwise, it's a great feature.
I love this feature but sometimes getting it to set with the radar is delayed
i've noticed that a 2024 cx50's MRCC's breaking triggers Progressive's driving status app with lots of "hard breaking" instances in slower stopNgo traffic . Does anyone else notice this?
Used to be Mazda guy but due to well-known Mazda rust I decided to change brand.
I replaced my 2010 Mazda 6 3.7 engine with 2007 Volvo S80 V8. Well equipped and safe car. Its crazy that I have this Adaptive cruise control in my old 2007 car.
Does the cruise control work the same way with the manual trans? Thanks
I think the adaptive cruise control works. The stop start feature doesn't though.
@Thomas Duus Westergaard from which speed does it start to work? I am planing to get the CX-30 as well
Does Mazda6 grand i touring 2016 have this feature?
Check the Mazda website for your country.
In a 2019 CX-9. CC will turn on but not letting me set a speed, no matter how fast I am going. Any idea what might cause this that I can look for myself. I am currently nowhere near any type of mechanic shops.
Did u figure this out
My 2020 Mazda 6 does not stay in lane keep. The system is on and the lane departure works but no staying in lane assist.
It’s not a self driving car, it’s designed to warn you if your car goes out of lane not to keep your car in lane.
How do you start and use regular cruise control function, not radar cruise control ? The manual is not very clear. Thanks.
If you go to settings>safety>distance recognition support and turn off DRS then you can revert the system to regular cruise control. The buttons on the left controlling the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you is that system. Once you shut it off, the car has no way of knowing and automatically reverts to standard cruise control.
Park Mazda Yes, I fugured it out. You press the mode button once then press and hold the mode button until Radar Cruise Control is turned off (it will state so in center display), then you just set your speed. I think the key word is “hold”. Anyway, thanks for replying!
@@mssmiley5691 Hey, perfect! That is even better. To be honest, I was having the same issue with the manual not being very clear, not even really mentioning "hold" at all. One of our sales guys told me about shutting off the distance recognition, but It's probably a safer bet to leave that safety feature on and use the steering wheel. See? We're all learning today!
Park Mazda yep, the manual should have said press and hold.
Pity that neither of those options seem to work on my 2018 CX-5. I hate that radar thing to the point I've even looked for which fuse to pull to permanently disable it.
For the most advanced version, does it make a full stop, and a trip from a full stop ??? Is it worth using only a highway ??? What happens if you want to stop the system while traveling ??
If there is a red light, does the system detect and stop the vehicle, and stop completely? The vehicle is traveling ????
I have CX-5 2017, I do not think so if I have this MRCC on my model. OR Do I have it?
Look at your steering wheel buttons for the cruise control. Does it have the MRCC buttons like the steering wheel in the video? You can also check your settings in your Infotainment system.
@@ParkMazdaAB No... I don't have those buttons. :(
This seems like a strange question but what's happening to the accelerator when the speeds are being automatically changed? Are you still pushing down on it with your foot? What if you press down to 'go faster' but the car in front of you slows down, does the pedal move at all on its own? Do you need to push the break at all?
From my experience the car controls itself. You keep your foot off the gas. The car will maintain speed. If you increase using the plus on the steering wheel. Then your car will speed up. Foot still off the gas. Tap the brake to turn off the cruise control or cancel on the steering wheel.
Does it work in fog? That would be great!
it works in fog as it uses the radar not camera
So I have all the features except mine won't come to a complete stop for me. What am I doing wrong?
Mazda doesn’t bring you to a complete stop’ idk why he said that.. cuts off at 15mph
@@SurviveWasTaken that sucka
@@SurviveWasTaken Not all Mazdas are equipped with the Stop & Go function. It will actually bring you to a complete stop if rapid braking is not required. Here is a video from Mazda AU ua-cam.com/video/tkIBNuQ4JrE/v-deo.html. You can also just google mazda stop & go function.
@@ParkMazdaAB i have driven multiple mazda 6’s & they don’t bring you to complete stop.. the ARCC always shuts off at 15mph no matter how slow the car in front was driving leading up to that
“MAAAAAAAEEEEEzda”
Jaaaayyyyyeeee West
The way he says Mazda 😂
Come on Brad, you know you love it.
We know he’s NOT from the great state of Texas!
@@pennycooperider6234 lol how to Texans say "Mazda" ?
I'm Australian and it sounds right to me!
@@daviddou1408 I'm also Australian, and it sounds right to me
I bought a 2018 mazda 3 and had nothing but problems with it
Yet here you are, You are predestined for Mazda. Mazda means Karma.
The only thing I want to know is how to turn this idiotic thing OFF, and revert to normal cruise control, under which I am the driver, making the decisions.
If you go to settings>safety>distance recognition support and turn off DRS then you can revert the system to regular cruise control. The buttons on the left controlling the distance between you and the vehicle in front of you is that system. @@daviddou1408 I drove 2020 Mazda 3 today and this shit almost killed me and my mother. As I was going 110kph behind a guy who was going into the exit lane, he slowed down to 40kph. What did this piece of junk do? It stepped on the brakes even though the car was next to me and I almost got smashed to pieces by the guy behind me.

typo.. reset not reserve
I HATE adaptive cruse control!!!
