'Safety' features in cars should be an optional tool, to be used as seen fit by the driver, not used as an instrument of torture to 'beep' you into a tech induced rage. Give us the option to mute the warning beeps!

Is there any way to accidentally turn this feature on? Combo of pedal presses? I did not even know about this feature until i accidentally activated it on my wife’s Telluride. All of a sudden the car wouldnt accelerate. I definitely did not go into the settings. Hasn’t happened after that 1 time.

Same thing happened to my wife in our EV9. Seems like a real design flaw if you don't know you turned it on!

Intelligent Speed Limit Assist is one of the most annoying poorly implemented features. It constantly beeps at you for every speed zone change. You can turn off the beeping, but you have to turn it off every single time you start the engine.
Here in Australia it does not recognise the hours of School Zone speed limits either - beeping annoyingly on a weekend when school zones are not active at all.
The constant beeping of ISLA would make any car owner question their purchase

We're sorry you're experiencing issues with your Kia. You can contact a representative from your region by going to worldwide.kia.com. Then, click the globe icon at the top right corner to select your local Kia website. From there, go the Customer Care Center at the bottom of the screen. There should be a local phone number and email contact form there, and they should be able to help you with your issue.

I'm fortunate that I learned about this system before making a purchase. The fact that the owners preferred setting isn't retained after restarting is a real insult.

In the EU this is out of Kia's hands. It's not a requirement for all cars sold new in the EU to have this system installed and to be active with every ignition cycle. It's crap. I will just need to get into the habit of turning it off before every drive.
