8:42 in the demons defense, they literally cannot understand what they did wrong. They can see something went wrong obviously by how people are acting but can’t understand. Something would have to change how a demon worked on a fundamental level for them to even start understanding.

If you want to know how old Fern is during the anime just subtract 11 from the years since Himmel’s death. In episode 3 Fern says that she is 16 years old and that is when it was 27 years since Himmel’s death. When Frieren met Fern at Heiter’s place it was 20 years after the death of Himmel so Fern was 9 at that time.
nice a new frieren episode. we also got some new names: Draht = wire. obviously from his form of killing Linie = line. she didn't came into action yet. so we will see Lügner = liar. very fitting name. he is so good at it, that you fall for him seconds after frieren told you what demons do. Graf Granat = count garnet. Graf being a german title. I don't realy know why he is named after a mineral but it's also his last name. propably because his family is around for quite some time.
