No one noticed that they put the ring on, there was a clock in the middle, symbolizing that the only thing standing between them was time. And Frieren was stading above it, while Himmel was under it. It's amazing the references they put into this anime.

im a straight guy and i think i cried the most in that scene than any recent anime, guys do feel it but most of them dont know how to express it, im not ashamed to cry or talking about it so just im here to tell you this as no one else will, that was my favourite scene in the whole show yet, its really that deep and the fact that frieren finally understood what it meant is even more deep
nah, it's not like they don't understand it. Quite the opposite, the guys are probably looking at it from Himmel's perspective. And from his perspective, it's unrequited love. How can you be excited and cheer for the romance when it will never come true? It's a tragedy, an "I feel you bro" moment.
@@aretiredsubberl7036 Not just that, most of us have fallen in love like him only to have our hearts broken in pieces down the road, once you go through that there's no coming back. It's inevitable to see it as a straight up tragedy with no beautiful qualities to it.

鏡蓮華のアクセってフェルンが持ってるのは花が咲いてて、フリーレンのはつぼみに見えたけどこれって何か意味あるのかな。
つきあって間もない恋人同士はつぼみから始まって年月が経つにつれて徐々に開花させていくみたいな。
それとも恋の成就の可能性を占うものなのかな。
後者だった場合、かなわぬ恋とわかっててそれでもいいと納得してのことだったのかと考えるとなんかヒンメルに対して無性に切ない気持ちになる。
それにしてもこの神回は考察が進む。
冒頭で、思いは言葉にしないと伝わらないとザインが言ったことと、最後のシーンの言葉にはせずとも精一杯の行動で示したヒンメルが対比になってると感じた。
言葉にしないと伝わらないは確かにそうだけど、本当に理解しようとしてたら行動だけでも理解はできるという次のステップへの伏線が貼られてるのかもしれない。（どの回か忘れたけどフリーレン自身も言葉にしないと伝わらないって言ってた気がする）
物語の大きなテーマのひとつにヒンメルへの理解があるのでこの指輪のシーンはいつかまた出てくると思う。
