Another brilliant and honest reaction!! Venetta has performed with the likes of Tina Turner, Neil Diamond, Diana Ross, and Aretha Franklin. She was a backing vocalist on Pink Floyd's "Wish You Were Here", and performed as one of the backing singers for Barbra Streisand in the 1976 version of "A Star is Born". Keep up the great work.

Absolutely! Just came across him a month ago, along with a few others who’d never heard of Farnham before. I love how much they’ve taken to his phenomenal talent.👍
John always used to introduce her as ‘The Queen…Vanetta Fields’. And she really was/is! You’ve mentioned gospel a lot, both with John and Jimmy. It’s a nice bit of trivia that Jimmy named his daughter Mahalia, after Mahalia Jackson. And he made the decision to do so if he ever had a daughter after the first time he heard Mahalia Jackson on record…decades before he had his daughter! So the Gospel influence has been there for a long time!

Its great watching your reactions to singers we have grown up with in Australia. John Farnham has been around since the late 60's he isn't called "The Voice" for nothing. Venetta Fields can sing the backside off a cow, fantastic song, sent shivers up my spine when I saw this...
I am glad you have discovered John Farnham, he is a great singer, entertainer and genuine guy. The best thing watching him sing is you can see his face, he is not swallowing the microphone. His voice is that powerful to be honest he probably doesn't always need one. I don't know if we will ever hear him sing again due to his latest cancer scare. If we don't as long as he is healthy, that's fine - we have decades of songs and memories to pass to generations to come. He also did a concert tour with Olivia Newton John & Anthony Warlow called the main event. He can sing, operatic, blues, jazz, gospel...anything really.
Please ignore the ignorant people who try to bring you down. This was an era in Australia music we may never see again. His band are the cream of the crop. Thank you for sharing this with the world. So many great artists miss out because their voice isn’t heard.
Songs like this showcases why this man is iconic. So many singers struggle to find the power even with the microphone right up to their mouths. These guys are half a meter away from the mic and still blowing every one away. That's roar power
Probably the most beautiful rendition of a most beautiful song. Lisa Edwards was his third regular backing singer in those days - does anyone know why she didn't feature here?

I watched your other videos, and thought you better have done this one! I search for this version of Amazing Grace at least twice a month. Glad you enjoyed sir. And yes another Aussie dude here.
John is our precious gift to us even more amazing he allows others to shine he has never allowed fame go to his head.
The other singer is Lindsay Field long time backup singer to John
I love watching your reactions... the pure joy in brilliant music is a balm to this weary soul.
So Venetta also did the backing vocals on THE Boz Skaggs Silk Degrees Album.
Before she came to Australia she was already AMAZING..!!!
Goosebumps everytime I hear this beautiful song 🎵 ❤
John, Venetta and Lindsay together so wonderful. Lindsay is one of John's backing singers .
Its great watching your reactions to singers we have grown up with in Australia. John Farnham has been around since the late 60's he isn't called "The Voice" for nothing. Venetta Fields can sing the backside off a cow, fantastic song, sent shivers up my spine when I saw this...
I just love the clear respect and affection between the three, built up over so many years.
I follow many many 'reactors' but I only subscribe to the ones who are 'real' and you sir are the 'real deal' I love your enthusiasm and genuine interest in each artist that you review. I love your Australian content as that's my home country. Very proud of our artists here and happy that you are sharing their talents with the rest of the world as you do. Bless your big beautiful heart. Waiving to you from Australia
Love it watched many times😊
When I was 10 my dad snuck me into a John Farnham concert to watch from the lighting box. My first ever concert 1971. I'd only ever seen him in black and white before then. John is a part of Australian history. Thanks for the honest review.
Venetta is amazing, she retired many years ago from touring with John.. but we have so many great performances on video to watch over and over :)
Venetta also was sings on the stones exiles on main street
That was beautiful ❤
the way john sung this he made it hard to sing. high notes but powerful. this is a hard song to sing. incredible 10/10
Should've been there mate, bloody brilliant 👍👍👍👍
This was an era in Australia music we may never see again. His band are the cream of the crop. Thank you for sharing this with the world. So many great artists miss out because their voice isn’t heard.
So lovely to see your enthusiasm it's quite contagious. We definitely know you are a big fan🎉
Songs like this showcases why this man is iconic. So many singers struggle to find the power even with the microphone right up to their mouths. These guys are half a meter away from the mic and still blowing every one away. That's roar power
That's the truest statement on UA-cam. The power is immense they a whole another level
She’s fantastic!!!
Wonderful have watched many times
Probably the most beautiful rendition of a most beautiful song. Lisa Edwards was his third regular backing singer in those days - does anyone know why she didn't feature here?
Yes brother, you are the most genuine guy on here 👏 Thanks for keeping it real 💯 👍
"I will squeeze a lemon in half" probably the best appreciation comment I have heard in my lifetime.
I Absolutely Love Your Enthusiasm and your Great Ear for Beautiful Singing...I'm with you all the way here...I can tell you are a Singer because I react the same way you do when I hear perfect notes being sung...It gives you that Tingling, Hairs on your arms stand up feeling...This is Just Beautiful and John is Without Doubt one of The Greatest Male Vocalist Period...Keep up the Great Work Mate...I Love your Videos...Jody (Australia) :)
I know you posted this a year ago, how I missed it I’ll never know. Don’t you love the way they look at each other? So much ❤. Another brilliant reaction 👏👏
PHENOMENAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If it gives you goose bumps you know it is pure, you know it is real….gods choir!!
Please don’t ever change, your reactions add so much more enjoyment. I feel like as though I am sharing a lot of my favourites with someone so thankyou very much and keep up the good work your mum would be proud.
This one gives me goosebumps
Absolutely beautiful!❤
It’s very obvious you are genuine in your reactions, let the haters hate 😂 I love watching you, especially seeing your appreciation for our Australian talent ❤️🇦🇺🦘
Venetta certainly has an amazing voice. Simply the best, and the star of this song.
Venetta says "can you see my boy sing?" She is superb.
Love he lets everyone shine even the backup singers!
That had me in tears... just that pure power from their voices just trancends through my body into my soul!
Seeing your reactions feels me with so much happiness 👍
Us Aussies love your genuine personality....your very entertaining.....love your voice as well..❤
I first heard Vanetta sing Amazing Grace over 30 years ago and have seen Farnham live 3 times. So many unforgettable moments but this will stay with me forever. Still cry every time.
I have seen and heard this a few times and I always get chills as it’s so amazing, it’s like going to church and being surrounded by a choir of angels. Love your reactions as it is pure and honest.😉
I like your opinions. I like your choices , well done.
I love the joy John finds in other singers and musicians that do it so well. This one always makes me cry.
