How bad could a $16 payware VirtualCol E190 be in MFS?

- I was so desperate for an Embraer 190 in Microsoft Flight Simulator that I spent $16 to try out the VirtualCol E190. Here's my thoughts on what you get for that low price.

You’re 100% right about it being a port from FSX and utilizing the Asobo A320 systems. Some devs felt it was easier to do that than implement their own systems (either they didn’t know how/didn’t want to spend the time on it) and go to market quicker and at a cheaper price. Something to keep an eye on is Ouroboros Jets. It’ll be freeware, and they’re working on the E170 thru the 190.
I was not aware of the Ourboros project. I hope it works, but I feel like these freeware projects are always a tough project to get going. FBW and Zibo are the exception
Thanks for this review. I did purchase the 190/195 and have since deleted it from my inventory since there are other, better aircraft. I have learned to avoid some developers and this is one of them, as well was Captain Sim and Bredok. I also check the ratings. Anything under 2 is definitely a no-go and even under 3 is problematic.

Was waiting all day to be able to watch this! I felt the same way about it and was glad I'm not the only one who feels the way I do about it. Beauty was indeed skin deep on this one

I brought it for 6 dollars and the physics are so bad, I literally cant pull up without it going from 0 to 90. Degrees in 1 second
Oh yeah, I remember the unholy trinity of FSX payware creators; Acabus, Virtualcoil and Ariane
Bought it and really felt like kicking myself for that monumental fubar.

I'm just gonna speak for myself but the one thing that I hate more on the E-190 is the yoke. I'm glad I haven't wasted my money on that.🙂
One thing u missed in showing was the poor modeling of the cabin, with huge unmodeled gaps in the windows.
I didn't even bother looking in there haha.

@@user-hx4xn6ne7s yes I would go ahead and buy it and have fun with it, it's pretty simple and there are some good UA-cam tutorials on how to use this particular aircraft. Welcome to the Hobby and have a wonderful time!
Granted the price is relatively low compared to high-fidelity aircraft in the sim, I feel like it was ultimately more frustrating to fly this plane because of all the systems that did not make sense at all.
This borrowed so many off the default Airbus, including a non-functional VNAV, which makes descents really difficult and hard to manage. Navigation is ultimately even more difficult with the limitations that the default Airbus systems offer, and I found the overall simulation just frustrating. Starting the APU after a landing shut down both my engines too, which is just utter nonsense and a frustrating thing to deal with.
Hand flying it in general is terrible and even then I cannot understand how it can be sold as payware when other free aircraft (FBW Airbus) exist. This plane flies like a rocket on departure and it slows to a crawl extremely fast when you retard the throttle. It's hard to predict the flight dynamics and I'm also guessing that these are borrowed straight off the default Airbus too.
For the price that it is I really don't recommend such a terrible product. It looks poorly done on the inside and the excuse of getting this aircraft on the market through borrowing a default aircraft's systems is just poor justification of calling this even decent. Captain Sim is very much guilty of this too, with what they used to be compared to now is just utter rubbish and frustrating.
It's hard to be positive about this plane when it always keeps throwing something unpredictable and stupid at the user.
