Much better than many of his stories as it is not as long winded. He is a good author but for that unfortunate habit of drawing things out so that the reader gets bored with the unnecessary verbiage which is one reason I don't read Charles Dickens or Emily Bronte books & others of that era. A story that goes more than five hours unless it keeps you on the edge of your seat gets very tedious.
Some people, I for one, go in for the "unnecessary" verbiage in literature. I like Wodehouse not for the stories but for the brilliant way he uses the language. This is a language channel; and that's why I feature his books here, him being a master of wordplay. Anyway, à chacun son goût! 😊💕
Love the verbiage but have to say i agree about Dickens. I find one needs to enjoy the books by ‘slow reading’ that is to be prepared to take the time to savour the words and writing than just the story itself or ‘finish a book’
Mr. Graham Seed is an entirely new P. G. Wodehouse reader to me. Thank you so much for introducing him to us.

Oh dear, how sad.

@@Sarah-4-Iddiesperfectly explained.
Awful, couldn't make it past 5 minutes
Literature as distinct from a story is not for everyone
@@doriellesoler7502 Do you consider this "literature"? I don't mean that in a snarky way, it's a genuine question.
