Travel back in time to 1992 as you'll see what Cartoon Network was like BEFORE shows like "Adventure Time" and "Regular Show" came into the picture. Cartoon Network, at first, was simply a 24/7 cable channel that reran numerous classic shorts and half-hour episodes from the libraries of "Looney Tunes", "Tom & Jerry", "Popeye the Sailor", MGM and Hanna-Barbera.
But they structured these iconic characters, series and franchises in unique hour-long programming blocks throughout their schedule. For instance, in the morning you could see Yogi humorously tell us the weather in "The Morning Crew", get "Down wit' Droopy-D!" at noon, enjoy "The Flintstones" and "The Jetsons" back-to-back and become a "ToonHead" at night before enjoying the baby boomer toons on "Boomerang".
So give us a "SPROING!!" a "BOING!!" a "BAM!!" and a "SPLAT!!!", as we take you on a trip back to Cartoon Network in its first year on cable!
