La Cucaracha | Ocarina Octet

The song La Cucaracha dates back to 1910 during the Mexican Revolution. La Cucaracha also belongs to the corrido genre.
This arrangement is all about theme and variation. It starts out with the recognizable melody with our higher ocarinas adding some flare with trills. Linkette, our Bass in C ocarina player will start off the first variation with a waltz version of the melody. Finally, going back to the main melody, you will hear Angela show her fast finger work on a delightful soprano in C descant part to the finish line.
This song is in celebration of the Latin American 2022 Ocarina Festival which is held virtually January 28-30, 2022.
