True Love - Jade Hurley & J.J. Horne

Recorded "LIVE" on Australian National Television ... Australia's King of Country Rock" and Piano Man Jade Hurley is joined at the piano by his backup singer Jeanette {J.J.} Horne to perform "True Love" {written by Cole Porter} ... and the theme song from the 1956 film "High Society" starring Grace Kelly and Bing Crosby. During rehearsals, Jeanette {TWICE} leant on the keyboard lid causing it to slam shut. Jade forewarned her to be careful when live on the show. After introducing her, Jeanette sat down at the piano, made herself comfortable, and leant on the keyboard lid ... and CRASH ... it slammed down so hard that it the "jammed" and Jade had difficulty "releasing it ... but being the professionals they are, they both made lite of the situation and the show "went on".
Elton John and Kiki Dee recorded it in 1993 ... however many critics agree that Jade and J.J.'s earlier "live" version is by far the better version.
