We had an amazing cruise on Arcadia to Norway, Iceland and Ireland, if you have any questions, please drop them below and we’ll be more than happy to help.
Btw thx for posting this, I’m very curious looking at the 4 ships at Bournemouth beach: The Aurora, the Arcadia, the Ventura and the Queen Victoria. Keep up the good work! 😃 P.S Could you check my UA-cam channel out?
@@CruiseMonkeys I’d imagine that to be the case actually - it was amazing how much warmer our corridor on Virtuosa was being so close to the indoor pool area, so I’d imagine it would be chilly without a roof…!
Wife and I sailed on Arcadia from Brisbane Australia to Southampton England in 2013, She had different livery applied to the hull now and she has undergone some refitment work. We were in cabin C46 on the Port side. I was a little apprehensive of a cabin a bit forward of midships but it was just fine. We had a wonderful journey via the Panama Canal with many ports of call along the way, Sydney (2 days), Milford Sound NZ, Dunedin, Akaroa, Wellington, Auckland, Napier, Pago Pago (American Samoa), Apia (Western Samoa) Honolulu, 2 days, San Francisco (2 Days) Huatulco, Mexico (was supposed to be Acapulco but changed due security concerns) Panama, Curacao, Barbados, Ponta Delgada (Azores), Southampton. 52 nights. Terrific experience. Sailed out of Southampton in 1952 emigrating to Australia, never thought I would have the chance to sail back into Southampton again while thinking about parents and how they must have felt leaving behind everything and everyone they had ever known. Anyway all a bit off track but would always recommend Arcadia. She is just the right sized ship.
Fantastic video, you're getting better and better. This is our favourite ship in the P&O fleet so it was great to see it after the recent refurbishment. Time to book on her again 😀
Arcadia is similar if not the same format/deck plan as the Vista ships of HAL fleet. We have just returned from a cruise on the Westerdam. Ships of this size, take me back to the liners of yesteryear which I much prefer, than the newer resort style ships which seem to be popular today. Thank you for video, very Informative. Ps. Sailed on the Canberra back in 1964 emigrating to Australia. Good memories, she was in a class all her own.
Hey guys! Great video. I’ve always wondered what P&O ships look like and have inside. Seems like a cross between Carnival and Princess mixed together. I love it 🙂
Yes definitely agree! They’re a good in between brand. Thanks for the comment guys! Looking forward to your day 3 vlog! We’ve never been to Quebec it looks awesome
Loving all your updates fellas, my good lady wife and myself are going on our first cruise in less than two weeks on J918 and all your videos have been most helpful in what to expect. Cheers. :-)
@@CruiseMonkeys Many thanks guys, wow it looks like I may have to do a fair few star jumps as the scran looks epic and something tells me that we will be visiting Sindhu a few times. Cheers :-)
Lovely ship tour! You’ll find me at either: Ocean Grill, Piano Bar, Palladium Theater, Monte Carlo Casino, Rising Sun, The Globe, Spinnaker Bar, Meridian Restaurant, Cafè Vivo, Watch Store, Prom Deck, Oasis Spa, Neptune Pool/Bar, Belvedere Buffet, Crows Nest, Aquarius Pool/Bar, East Bar, Sindhu, maybe the Gym, or laughing hilariously filming drunken Luke & Gav stumbling down the hallway! Cheers 🥂🥂🥂
Hahaha! Is there anywhere we wouldn’t find you? Hehe.. one day I wouldn’t be surprised if some one does film us, filming ourselves trying to vlog drunk😂
Excellent tour! Not sure what’s worse though, white chocolate or the gym (don’t care for either 😆). I think my wife would find me in the Crows Nest... I really like that place.
Thank you for your comments 😁 Well if you don’t eat the chocolate you can skip the gym so that’s win win 😉 The crows nest or that style of bar is always our favourite bar on any ship, ideal place to sit back and relax with views out to sea.
These ships usually sail back to back. Wouldnt it be great to go to the Future Cruises area on the last day and say "I'd like to book another cruise, please." "Certainly sir, which one?" "The next one on this ship."
Great video showing all the places on board. We have booked to go on the Norway, Iceland, Ireland cruise in June. My wife is in a wheelchair and so access to some things may be difficult, we have booked a disabled room so thats ok but can you give some info on getting around the ship for wheelchair users, e.g. getting into and around bars, theatre, restaurants? We managed to get around OK on Ventura although using the lifts was a bind with one or two out of order and others being packed with able-bodied people not wanting to use the stairs . Anything to help with access and movement would be helpful, thanks.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it. You'll have a fantastic cruise, we loved Norway and Iceland! You should find accessibility similar to Ventura, but if it is still at reduced capacity in June, things like the lifts and etc should be much easier. If using mid ship lifts, we're not sure if the panoramic ones are separate to the enclosed ones in the mid ship area, cant remember back that far sorry but something to keep in mind, you might find they are separate, something to look out for! Not sure if that is much help sorry :)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! Have a great time! The 6th will soon be here! Reception is on deck 1 (passenger decks as there’s no point mentioning crew areas) as listed on all Arcadia deck plans. 👍🏻
Thank you! We appreciate all of the hard work you and your colleagues do to give us fantastic memorable holidays! Our next P&O cruise is on Aurora in May but we might go with P&O again sometime later in the year 🤞🏻
You could just turn up but that might have been because we were on a longer cruise with plenty of sea days, it might be worth booking if you really want to try it because if it’s full you’ll have to wait until the next sea day. Personally I’d just say pick a sea day and book it. It’s very tasty 👌🏻😋
Ohhh, we love Aurora as she holds a special place in our hearts being our first ever cruise. She is a smaller ship. Both fantastic ships and pretty - both have indoor pools, prom decks, a crows nest. Aurora Balcony cabins can be very expensive as she only has a small number of them compared to other ships. Very difficult question to be honest....
There was a few bits and pieces going on -live entertainment at the crows nest and piano bar the usual 2 showings at the main theatre and a few quizzes/karaoke at the rising sun pub. The globe also had some entertainment/dancing but we found it finished quite early --11:30---12 however we did manage to party on until about 2am in one occasion- depends who’s at the dj booth. Arcadia was the quietest ship we’ve ever been in regards to nightlife however we still had a good time! Hope this helps
The atrium does look a bit like an upscale doctor's office. I think it's all the blonde wood. It lacks a warm and welcome atmosphere. The rest of the ship is nice. It's modern without the "in your face" effort to point out an update.
Yes, it’s a shame, we found Arcadia’s atrium to be quite claustrophobic, it was very closed in. Arcadia is quite a nice ship though, we loved the traditional promenade deck, the crows nest and the east bar next door to sindhu they’re great for getting some good views
graham Harrison it’s just how we do it. Different people different things. There’s not much u can really do with a ship tour. We don’t like walk through videos, we don’t really like the presenter type videos either so this is just how we decided to do this.. it’s not for everyone and I’m sorry it spoilt it for you. But it’s our video and this is how we like it
graham Harrison each to their own. Maybe you’ve found your calling, your own little style of doing a ship tour? Something new something different? Thanks for commenting anyway 👍🏻

This ship must be absolutely fantastic on a colder weather itinerary - the indoor pool etc looks ace. Great tour!
Yes, it really is! Thankfully they'd fixed the roof, a few weeks earlier apparently it was stuck open for a whole cruise!
@@CruiseMonkeys oh, that would be a disaster! 😂
Apparently made the ship quite cold 🤣

We agree, we really enjoyed our cruise on Arcadia it was so relaxed and the staff were fantastic. 👍🏻
Hi lads, thanks for the tour. We are due to sail on her March this year 2022. 16 days to Canaries and Maderia.
Gladyou enjoy it! Have a fantastic cruise, we love Arcadia

Nice video, Just got off Aurora and waiting now for July 5th for Arcadia. Counting the days down already :-)
Thank you! Have a great time on Arcadia 👍
Wow! Were on it too! Looking forward.
I'm looking at this ship for November, as I want to try the line on a short cruise.
She’s a fab ship! Our first time on her was a short cruise.
Great video as always Guys - very informative.
Glad you enjoyed it, thank you :)
Just going to start over again 🥰🥰

Fab video guys! Arcadia is the only P&O ship we haven’t been on yet. Maybe one day soon 🤞😊

Hi Guys, sailed on her world cruise leg from Sydney to Singapore last year (2019) and will sail from Sydney to Mumbai in just over 7 weeks time.
Oh, world cruise leg? Fabulous! Have a great time.

Sorry about that! At least you know what you can expect onboard! I know how you feel though, I get hungry making the videos 😋😂😂

Brilliant! 🇬🇧
Just finished a contract on Arcadia whilst it was in dry Dock getting a refit. Sad that I didn't get to see the real beauty.
Arcadia is a lovely ship. Will you go back on her for another contract again?
@Cruise Monkeys Yes, in June but maybe not Arcadia. I work for pando so any of there ships! Love your content

Got arcadia booked for 30 nights to new engalnd and Canada in 2024 but I'm worried its lookin a bit tired ?
Oh fabulous! Arcadia is an older ship, so you wont have the super modern styles, but on our trip she was looking very tired.
Booking for norway 2023 and stuck between Arcadia and Aurora , what would you suggest?
Ohhh, we love Aurora as she holds a special place in our hearts being our first ever cruise. She is a smaller ship. Both fantastic ships and pretty - both have indoor pools, prom decks, a crows nest. The last of original P&O ships. A modern day (when built) Canberra.
She's the prettiest ship in the fleet! :)
my mum and dad are go the cruise
Was the ship lively in the evenings
