Hmm. How did that first bacteria that swallowed the pre-mitochondria thingy reproduce itself to have a 2nd pre-mitochondria thingy?? 🤔

Never been done in the laboratory. Never observed. Just computer graphics and an AI voice. Good for cartoon show though.

Thank you for watching and for your feedback! I understand your concerns about the use of computer graphics and AI voices. The information in this video is based on research from highly respected scientific journals, Cell and Science, and is intended to present complex scientific concepts in an accessible and engaging way. I've included links to these sources in the description for those who would like to delve deeper into the research. I appreciate your engagement and am always looking to improve the clarity and effectiveness of the science communication on this channel.

Lots of things hadn't been done in labs that are now done regularly.
The website, Understanding Evolution (UC Berkeley, the birthplace of CRISPR), goes into quite a bit of depth regarding the evidence for this.
Since no one was around a billion years ago, that's all they have to go on.
It's fine to be skeptical about something but one doesn't need to be snarky about it.
... and while this may have been narrated by a computer voice, I personally couldn't tell and thus is not a problem.
If this could be done in a lab, I'd be scared because of what might come out of a lab, either on purpose or by accident!

Everything laid out here is accepted science.

While this is critical for higher lifeforms to evolve, since it has already independently occurred a few times we're aware of, it does not qualify as a hurdle for intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. Not saying this video was addressing that question... just saying.

First time observed in a billion years??? So you were there to witness the last time, a billion years ago? Yeah, right ! Good bedtime fairy story though .

    laughable. This is not science.
