- a lot of you have asked for this video, so i thought it was about time i make it. this is how i got so much work experience (over 30 placements), what positions/roles i’ve done and what companies/sectors they were with. you don’t need to do as much as i did - i have a problem with saying no to work 😅 - you just need to do 5-10 positions to have a really strong CV. the more work experience you get, the easier it is to transition into different industries in the future, network, make connections and get a job. i hope this helps! let me know if you want any more videos around this topic!

Could you please do a separate video about how to write a good CV and covering letter? I’m going to be studying Law at the University of York this year and your videos have been so helpful 😊
Yes I can!! Good luck at YLS!
YES can you please do a covering letter video? That would be so good!
A resume/cover letter video would be fantastic!! I'm applying for some legal work experience but feel soooo insecure about how I'm structuring my resume and what I'm putting in it!
Chelsie do a video on what Lucy Ellen said
hey thanks for the video! quick question- do you know much about the law llb with international law/relations/study degree? would i be missing out by having loads of international law optional modules? and would you recommend doing a law degree with semester or year abroad if i want to become a lawyer who works in uk law firms overseas? x
hii ,Is it a good option to do a placement year with llb
Please can you make a video about CVs and cover letters? I’m about to apply for work experience but I’m stressed that my cv is bad and I’ve never had to write a cover letter before.
yes, i'll put it out soon!
Great video thanks:) Just wondered how you qualified for the civil service schemes because they appear to only be available for those from ethnic minority backgrounds? Thanks x
thanks! the application criteria is broader than ethnicity & it's all on the website!
Thanks for the tips! Im in my third year i have no work experience and this pandemic stopped me from getting one this summer 😭 how long of a time period do work experiences have to be ?
i think it's important to have a variety. they don't all need to be long. but having one that's over two weeks is good as it'll offer you a different experience. most can just be a day or so. good luck with the work experience hunt!
Chelsie Angeles Great u gave me more hope thank you so much!!!
