Very inspiring! I'm in my 40's and starting my own journey to medical school! It's a dream I've had since high school but had fear holding me back all these years. After losing job of 10 years, and friendships that I thought would last a lifetime. I realized that blanket of security I thought I had was now gone. And I shouldn't let fear stop me from achieving what I want in life. We only have one life to live so why not make the best of it! Thanks for making this video! Really hit home! 🙂

I am so glad I found your videos. So inspiring and supportive. I’m so happy for you and all that you’ve achieved. I start medical school in 2 weeks and am full of fear and excitement. This video has helped me so much as I have really had to battle the very negative opinions of people who are in my circle. I grew up in the US where I was always supported to dream big and go for my goals. But my husband who is British has a very different mindset. It’s held me back for 17 years! Well not entirely as I’ve had to combat a lot mentally to try and grow and achieve things in spite of his lack of support and actual negative behaviour that tries to mentally cage me in. I’ve managed to do things anyway, but it’s taken a lot more time and been very mentally and emotionally taxing. I have worked hard to be at the point I am now to start medical school and know that I will need to continue supporting myself, and lean on those friends and family who have a different mindset, who are loving and supportive and excited for me and this journey…and now your videos 😀 will be part of that. It’s going to take all of this support to get me through this momentous journey. Thanks to your videos, and especially this one, I can see very clearly why my fears are escalated even more than they might otherwise be because of these negative voices that constantly make me doubt myself. The good news is, that I can also see and hear my voice clearly that says “you’ve got this!”. Thank you and congratulations on all that you’ve achieved and will continue to achieve! ❤
You are very right. For me, your journey has been an inspiration. I came across another wiman who is studying to become a doctor and she is 52!!!! I am only 30yrs old and thought i was too old to make these big changes but i am going back to uni for something better too.
Is the lady in America by any chance? The 52 year old? I think her name is Jen?
My eyes are full of tears as Im writing this comment , This video means alot to me because I've gone & I am still fu*king going through pretty much the same things as you have & seeing that despite all the obstacles on your way you've made it this far in life makes me smile , you inspire me , you give me hope , every time I wanna give up , I come to UA-cam to watch one of your videos. You're being my support system without even knowing it , love you ❤️❤️❤️

I am just wondering if people who keep you in the box and don’t want you to do something better with your life do actually love you. If you really love and care for someone, doesn’t matter how crazy their dream is, you do everything to help and support that person. I think it comes from a place of their own insecurities and envy. People always want you to do well but not better than them.
