Purfleet Heritage Centre Documentary

Purfleet Heritage & Military Centre is a museum set up inside Magasine No.5 from the Royal Magasine of Gunpowder. This MOD explosives and ammunition store was contracted in 1759, one of five buildings, could've held 10,400 barrels of gunpowder.They were left in a derelict overgrown state until four were demolished when Thurrock Council bought the site off of the MOD - the fifth was saved by Alan Gosling who turned it into a great museum in 1992. I lived on the Garrison estate as a child. Grew up there. The heritage center is amazing.

I'm wondering in any of my exhibits were rescued from coalhouse Fort and now reside in here...... a model of the Channel Islands Mirus Gun, and a large diorama of coalhouse Fort, under glass.
